OK so I am getting a sack of heroin and the guy said its very good stuff he said its powder, he said its yellowish brown and you can either inject or snort it, whatever you please..only thing is this is going to be my first time doing it and I have never injected anything and never plan on doing so...I have snorted plenty of stuff and tolerance to opiates is pretty high..used to 120mg hydrocodone/60-100mg oxycodone daily and up to 40mg methadone daily...the only issue is I have never done heroin and this will be first time...any advice or tips ahead of time? does it feel like oxy? how long does it last? how about the drip does it taste horrible? thanks any other advice is greatly appreciated

There's more pruritus and histamine release with heroin over oxycodone. The rush is also slightly different but since you aren't IVing you may not ever notice (I've plugged water solutions of both heroin and oxycodone and achieved a 'rush' before that way, however). Many people say heroin has more of a 'body high', likely for those reasons.
 
just got it, it looks a little off white/dark gray powder..any tips on doing this? will the drip be nasty? how is it supposed to smell and also how should i pace myself?
 
We can't tell you how potent your dope is, just start low and work your way up. You may want to try the heroin discussion thread.

Heroin is just another opiate. It should have roughly the same sort of onset and effects pattern as hydrocodone or oxycodone. If you're not feeling effects by the time you're through a bag, you have probably been ripped the fuck off.
