Misc Here's an interesting one - Dopamine Agonists and other drugs

I have observed interesting phenomena with dopamine agonists and other recreational drugs. Keep in mind that I never passed the adaptation period of the dopamine agonist ropinirole, and once the adaptation period is passed, these effects might not happen.

Dose of ropinirole was 2mg, 24 hour entended release.

Effect on dextroamphetamine: Reduced mental stimulation, created brain fog, borderline psychosis, PNS/physical stimulation was still present. Fell asleep many times I tried this combo.

Effect on opiates: Nice potentiation. Gave an extra stimulating kick to oxycodone instead of being sedated. Great combo.

I'm wondering what the effects would be once the adaptation period was completed. I'm guessing d-amp and opiates might act like they normally would.

Also, during the adaptation period, does anyone know what would happen with MDMA, a triple reuptake inhibitor? D-amp and opiates are highly dopaminergic, so I'm not surprised their effects would be altered by ropinirole or pramipexole. What about methylone, a highly dopaminergic spinoff of MDMA? I hope to test some of this out, but I want to see if anyone has experience with dopamine agonists and any other drug.

I'm very happy someone has reported on this. Yay! ^.^ I need info on combos that are safe with ropinirole (not just basic interactions, but potential toxicity, bueno/ no bueno, etc...)

I'm taking a few meds and soon, DXM, and I figured it is probably a very bad idea due to the toxicity of dopamine to seratonin (receptors, or axons?)

I believe this NEEDS to be reported on, for the drug commoners of the interwebz : ) I'll look for other threads that have the same details , but until then, keep the anecdotes coming! I'm not suggesting anyone experiment with ropinirole and others drugs, merely report on previously experienced combos.

Side note: Any members with Parkinsons?
