The Herald Sun has put foward an article stating that the legalisation or decriminilisation of dope is not the answer to cutting out the black market. It's test case....the illegal tabacco trade currently in operation, or as they call it "The Chop Chop Trade". It states that even though tabacco is a legal substance, it still has a black market trade and therefore the same can be said for marijuana. Legalising or even taking the criminal aspect will not stop the black market trade.
Once again the media has left me in awe at how fucking narrow minded and one sided they can be. No matter what area of trade you look at there will always be a black market!!!! How do you justify keeping something illegal because it still will have a black market. Ummmmm derrrr what the fuck do we have now?!!? Are we any better off now with the system we have, no regulation, no education and no support?
Talk about milking a subject for the sake of sales!! Let's face it BL's what chance do we have when it comes to E!!!
I will search for the link to the article if there is one, otherwise I will post it all later - I urge all BL's to respond to the Herald Sun - it is time we took a stand. This type of reporting is starting to give me the shits!!!

did they at all mention that the reason there is a black market in tobacco products is becuase they are so heavily taxed?
any product that has its price overly inflated by taxation will always generate a black market... any legalisation moves would drop the price of drugs hugely, even if big government taxes were slapped on them the price for the average user would drop hugely...

There is a black market in car parts and video recorders etc etc most derrived from petty theft due to herion users (go on... prove me wrong... I DARE YOU) and some from just plain on thieving for a living.

Abso-fucking-lutely ridiculous! JB you hit the nail on the head!
How STUPID and NAIVE are these reporters? I'd say it would take...ohhh..what Year 7-8 logic to undertsand this?
Fucking media and the baboons in it!
I'd be happier growing my own anyway. I'd want to nurture and talk to my friend Mary Jane! And give her all the nutrients and 'love' that she needs!
Hydro-bud...Ya gotta love it!

Hell Yeah GreenAlien, gotta luv the Hydro....
When it comes to the legalisation stuff however, the Herald Sun is obviously not following the topic on this one, because that has to be one of the most stupid arguments against it I have evr heard and mainly for the reasons mentioned above!
From what I hear, and if someone can confirm this please do....
is that as soon as s Bracks clears up the heroin gallery thingy, then its gonna b legal, I've got my fingers crossed, I tell ya!!
Keep smokin! and Rollin! hehe

Wow are you serious!!! I'd like to know more about this aswell - I haven't heard anything so any info forthcoming would be really good, especially for our cause
