Ive searched quite a few threads before posting but Im basically just looking for some direct reassurance and assistance. My man took off and went on a meth bender for about a month recently. I'm not sure how much he was doing but I do know I'm he has little self control to begin with and he was basically being fed the stuff for free. So I'm dealing with a lot myself but he called a few days ago telling me he was ready to come home. He got back home yesterday and has been in bed since. He wakes up to eat and watch a movie but has literally just been in bed. He's sweating really bad. Hot and cold. His body odor isn't exactly pleasant. Last night he was pretty restless so I gave him clonidine because that's really all I have that I thought might help. He slept really well after taking to that which is great but I'm concerned about the sweating since, from what I understand, meth isn't typically something you experience physical symptoms withdrawing from. Since it's only been about a month, I'm not super worried but I also want to help him be as comfortable as possible. I have some ashwaghanda, not sure if that will help. He has multivitamins but he says they make him nauseous. He has an appetite which is so awesome because this man probably lost 60 lbs in the month he was gone. Any advice is appreciated..

Time is his friend. Eating a well balanced diet and drinking plenty of fluids is key. I'd recommend microdosing Amanita muscaria and supplements such as maca, benfotiamine, magnesium glycanate, D3, K2, and saffron. There are plenty of others out there to try but those are my personal favs. Oh yeah, if you google "amino acids for meth withdrawal," that'd get you on the right path as well. Fresh air and exercising daily would be helpful too! Good luck.
Ps: I hope he knows how lucky he is that you let him come back home?!

Thank you so much. I'm not sure he realizes how lucky he is just yet. He's kinda in his head. I went out last night and grabbed a few of the supplements you mentioned but he's been reluctant to take them. Dealing with stomach issues/diarrhea now. Hoping he feels better soon. Again, I really appreciate you responding.

The ultimate med to get through the detox and slugishness and aching legs and irritation......EXCEDRIN EXTRA STRENGTH...YOURE WELCOME

Yyeah let him sleep and eat and chill for a good while, then try slowly getting him to go out of the house for a walk or something like that...Just nothing too overwhelming.

Lion's mane (the powder if you can get it) with coffee works great :)

Rinse and repeat.

The worst part of coming off a year long methamphetamine run was depression and anxiety and genwrally having no enwrgy and feeling like shit. I felt as if i had damaged myself beyond repair..... iw was sluggish and couldnt think. Goos food.... healthy shit is essential. Essential vitamins and amino acids.... sleep for as long as you need. After a few days drag his ass out to do something fun that he likes and will ligjr up his brain with dopamine.... the mental component with meth can be nasty and getting out to do thinga and keep his mind from meth is a good thing.

Is he doimg this for himself because he wanted to? Or for you and others reluctantly? I ask because people will not usually stop by beomg forced.... they may hide it better tho. Good luck to you both.... remind him that it does get better but his brain needa to rewire itself ajd heal from this.
