well what forum for advice. docs wont give me it. i need help. or am goona end up a drunkin benzo headed freak ... no not funny am gona have a hangover to morra for sure. then am gonna have t then a a spliff 20mg val. n hope at works . if not i dont know... tried ma doc he says just chuck it. i tried chucking 40mg a valium a day cold turkey, no drink , no puff. was hardcore. ma mate saw me and says u need to take one ure a mess. i need advice. if anyone could give me some sort of taper or advice. HELP. ill try it cos what am doin aint workin... ill try advice from someone whos been there am mean a could just barely handle 40mg a day to nothing for aweek. but was hardcore... i recently posted on here about valium witdrawl. it sux. big time.. I was doing great then i thought i@d drink to cut down BIG MISTAKE. worked originally. but next day needed more valium. I wake up depressed need to escape the benzo trap. was down too 20mg a day. now am at 40mg. doin nothin. I am harsh about takin any more than 5X10 a day as above experience of witdrawl. its major scary. tried a week of col turkey no good.. anyway dont want sympothy. just am wasted just now need a plan off attack.... get ma life in shape... got a beer a spliff took 50mg there ... no good... i can handle withdrawl....... well i suppose bare it... gonna curl up in bed... n try to reduce a 30mg week, 20 mg week , 10 mg week toooooo much. i want rid o es oriible benz dependos. and want my life bak. any help or advice. appreciated. think ill have a beer and sleep on it worst move but benzos............... suk........ wen abused.

wow never knew valium withdrawls was that bad :S the doc prescribed me 50 5mg valium 5mg-15mg a day.i take 15mgs a day tops and when i run out istop for about 3 weeks then get more i never get withdrawls at all....just try to slowly ween yourself off them every time u take valium take 2-5mg less jus do try that and if u are feeling the need to take more valium bomb urself out with weed.
and by the way mixing aclohle with with benzos its dangrouse they are both act on the CNC and can cause you to pass out and stop breathing.
so be careful if u drink and take benzos jus try not to drink so much.

How long have you been taking 50mg daily?
Are they legitimate or illegal knock-offs? (which usually don't contain the correct dose.)
Do a slow taper, dropping 5mg a week, or less (SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE VERIFY; I AM NOT A DOCTOR.)
You won't really be able to drink during your taper as that will fuck with your GABA receptors and this is what it's all about: getting them back to normal.
Diazepam or any benzo withdrawals are shit, but you MUST go through them if you're gonna quit. They don't have to be that bad though, if you do a slow taper.
Exercise and sex can help with the anxiety and depression, especially if you have a lady friend to stroke you and tell you it's all alright.
If you are working, then ask for holidays for the worst parts.
Or (RECOMMENDED): go and see a doctor.
