i close my eyes
and try to push you out
your eyes

they burn inside my mind
and i try so hard
to deny
everything
if you tried to hold me now
i might push you away
and when you smile at me
i can't help but force myself
to look away
i like the dark
it makes it easier for me to be with you
makes it easier because i don't have to look into your eyes
it's so easy
when i don't have to face
what is real
and what isn't
i just let everything...
roll
and i pretend that it doesn't matter...
it makes everything so much easier
when i don't have to face
what we are
and what i am
and what i am not
when i am with
and without you
my life would have been so much easier
without you...
and every time i find the strength to keep myself away from you
to keep myself from calling
and seeing you
and sometimes even thinking of you...
it seems those are the times that are easiest for me
if you kissed me now
i might cry
i don't really care what happens to us
i don't care if you want me anymore
or if you ever did
or if you happen to think that you want the person you are with right now
i just want to hear you say it-
just once
and really mean it
i want to hear you say
you love me
because we both know it's true
we have this crazy, unbelieveable bond
this connection that you CANNOT deny
but yet you still attempt to
yeah...
"roll buddies"...
i love that title
that you have so willingly thrown around
only,
i am the one who declared us as such
because it takes away all the feeling
all the emotion
all the truth
it's so much easier to say that
and hide behind it...
because it's safe
it's so much safer than love...
and you're so scared
but so am i.

first off, i like the poem you wrote, straight from the heart, charged with a lot of emotion. i think that we have somewhat of a similar style in writing

but secondly - this is the words forum - where the main purpose is to share your work with people, rather than personal problems. if you want more responses to your situation, then i would suggest posting in the social forum.
and finally - if you do choose to post the background on the situation in the social forum (i wouldnt post the poem there - that acutally belongs here), i would urge you to not write in all caps, because it makes it very hard and annoying to read - esp. when the post is that long.
if you do post the background in social, i would also ask you to edit your post here - maybe give a little bit of a background on the poem if you want, but only a few sentences, not the whole thing because it takes away from your poem. also what you could do is put in a link to the background if you post it in social, that way people can get the whole picture when reading your poem.
