Hi team.

Have just started a sub detox and jumped at 1mg per day, I have heaps of loperamide but am wary due to what I’ve heard about its cardiovascular destroying capabilities. What dose would work to stop my withdrawal from 1mg sub?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

Lope is probably just gonna help with nausea and Lower GI issues. I wouldn't put your hopes much higher than that. Start with the recommended dose and work your way up until diarrhea is under control.

Hey, you should just take it as the box directs. Anything more probably won’t be significant. Jumping at 1mg isn’t the end of the world. Get some clonidine from a doctor for the other physical stuff.

Couldn't you just carry on with your bupe taper? If you're already planning on what to substitute it with, then it sounds like you're not quite ready to jump off yet.

Many people make the mistake of trying to get off their scripts far too early, which is why they yoyo between heroin/methadone/subs and end up getting nowhere.

my doc cut me off the bupe late last year and I had stockpiled some but not enough to taper right down , that’s the reason I have to jump or I would of tapered down further, I don’t have enough left to taper now. Only 5 2mg tablets left.

I feel the withdrawal 12 hours after my last dose. And have been splitting the 1mg dose 12 hours apart in 0.5mg increments. I don’t know why I feel the withdrawal so quickly , I’m an ametuer athlete and am very muscular and low body fat so maybe my metabolism is just very fast and I metabolise the drug quickly?
^^^^This. 1mg should be doable. You'll make it

What about if i switched to kratom and quick tapered off that? Would that work?
You could do that but it will probably end up as a Kratom habit. Jumping at 1mg isn't going to be a nightmare. Believe me I know where you're coming from because I used to mindfuck myself thinking how bad the withdrawal was gonna be. Just ride it out. You'll be ok

Yeh, doctors always find a way of fucking things up. They push their shit then just take the money and run.

The thought of coming off low doses of opiates is often worse than the withdrawal itself. @Ozzy Osborne is bang on there.

I’m quite sensitive to the withdrawal is the issue. Plus I have a business to run so I can’t be stuck at home in withdrawal for even more than a few days.

I don’t have any kind of psychological dependance to the subs at all and In fact the reason I switched was I hated feeling high, moving to kratom would simply be a way to transition smoothly. Withdrawal at 1mg feels just as bad as it did when I jumped off a 100mg oxy dependance so when you say it’s not that bad I guess everyone is subjective to their own experiences with it,

Does anyone know what dose of kratom I should start with and then taper off on? Anyone taken Kratom before? I would only take the kratom for maybe a week max and do a quick taper off it,

The reason being kratom is a lesser powerful opiate activator? So I’m gently levelling out my receptors?

I'm just wondering why the doctor cut you off your script. If you're running a business, then it probably wasn't a case of not being able to afford it?

Not wishing to pry, but failing to understand why you couldn't continue with your sub taper.

Over here in New Zealand you don’t pay for it it’s all free. But all Suboxone/methadone prescriptions are handled by a “specialist” they hold all the cards and are complete control freaks. After a year I went in one day and all of a sudden the doctor said it’s time to come off you’re on a low dose and don’t need it anymore. I didn’t get a choice initially so I made a complaint and then they said I could go back on it but only if I was picking up daily so I said fuck that I won’t be under your control anymore and told them essentially to go fuck themselves. So where I’m at now is 5 2mg pills left I have a bunch of comfort meds but my business turns over 1.5 million dollars a year and I have 10 staff to manage which is why I’m hoping a quick switch to kratom to stabilize then quick taper would work?
