Heroin Help! Spilled water on my heroin

What should I do? I had a large chunk of heroin and when I was cooking a shot, I accidentally dropped a drop of water on the chunk with my dropper. Can I dry it out and preserve it? I REALLY REALLY need this heroin. I was going to use it to taper off and I don't have money to get more. My taper has been going great so far and now this. Please help.
 
Was it clean water? How long were you hoping to make that heroin last for? You could just prepare it all and put it in a syringe (or a sterile container). Otherwise you could spred it out on a clean flat surface where it is not going to get knocked over or blown around and let it air dry. You could maybe try putting it in the oven on very low heat.
 
It depends on the alkalinity/acidity of his solution.

If he uses ideal water at a pH of 7.0 then it will be slow, if it is slightly raised or lowered then hydrolysis will start to occur at a much quicker rate.

It also depends on his taper and the amount of heroin he has.

Ok, absolutely do NOT follow this particular advice unless you plan on screaming in brain cutting pain for a week or so. You can't risk bacterial infection of the chunk!

yes and bacteria like getting high on Heroin too, particularly in aqueous environment lol.
 
Ok here is what I did, i put the heroin on a piece of paper to dry. It got all stuck to the paper and seeped into it. When it is time for me to do a shot, i take the paper and put it in the spoon with water and heat it, to get the heroin out of the paper (i just cant scrape it off, its too much absorbed into the paper). I am wondering if this is safe or not? the paper is dyed with yellow ink, so some of the ink is getting into my shots. Is there any risks to shooting ink? So far, i feel fine. I need to make it last until I get paid on thursday night.
 
in all seriousness to answer your question the ink can possibly cause some health problems. id think possibly affecting your veins blood heart lungs kidney or even liver.. but am not 100 percent sure and i doubt such a small amount will do any significant damage. that you would notice. being in dormant addiction of dope i know you are going to shoot that paper no matter what. please filter well 2x if possible... i know its a pain but think. all the dope should dissolve in water considering its number 4 and you only mentioned using water so im positive it is. whatevers left in spoon or cotton. is nothing but cut or akaloids. possibly even ink. ink in water the cotton should filter most if not 90 percent or more.

Eep! I really didn't mean put it on a sheet of paper. I suppose I should have specified a non porous surface like a plate.

We have no idea what is in the ink or any other additives that might be in the paper. Having said that my best guess would be that there is not likely a huge risk from the ink, and I know you're going to shoot it anyway unless maybe we told you that it was guaranteed to kill you. At least make sure you filter it well and don't end up sucking any paper fibers into your syringe.

I see that said all the time on here, but I've yet to read any actual proof that this can happen at a rate that would actually have any practical effect. Every study I have read says that this happens extremely slowly in plain water, and that it does not even get to the point of converting to morphine, only to 6-MAM and only part of the heroin (and 6-MAM is more potent than heroin so I wouldn't consider that a disadvantage). I have left heroin sitting in water for a few days a number of times and there was no detectable difference in effects.

That is not correct. A cotton is not going to filter out the ink. A cotton won't even filter out 90% of the cuts.
