I have been on suboxen for a couple weeks. I have gotten my dose up to as high as 24mg on no set schedule. I was originally coming off Norco 10mg and I wish I had just stayed the course on those. Anyway, I am always tire, always dizzy, sick , crying, anxious, now I am down to around 12mg a day..I was not given great instructions to begin with so..I am scared I am going to die or something bad will happen.

You're taking way too much... unless you wre taking thousands of mg of norco a day you should probably be on more like 1-2 mg suboxone.

^^ What he said. Even at 12 your dose is way way to high. honestly your doctor never should have even considered putting you on suboxone let alone such a high dose. Keep lowering until your at 1-2 mg and you should feel a lot better than you do now. But if I was you I'd talk to your doc about your exit plan, the sooner the better.

Just a heads up. I would try and solve you're addiction problems WITHOUT Suboxone. I've been on for two years and have tried coming off....its worse than anything I've ever DTed from.

These symptoms are likely from a non-fatal overdose since suboxone is way stronger than hydrocodone (active ingredient in norco).

0.25mg of suboxone (taken sublingually aka under the tongue as prescribed) is equal to 10mg of norco, so even at 1mg a day you are taking 4x the dose needed to equal the dose of one 10mg norco, making that 12mg dose you are now on equal to 36x the dose needed to equal the 10mg norco. Suboxone has a ceiling affect so it stops you from feeling it's affects (other than the blockade affect, craving control and duration of action) after around 6mg, but even so that is still 18x the dose of norco you were on, so way too much for you to handle.

I have a feeling that you meant that you were taking 10mg norcos, but not just one a day though, so it's complete overkill still but probably slightly less so than I just outlined.

I suggest just stopping to see how you feel, and maybe you won't have much of a withdrawal. Some detox centers actually do 2 week suboxone detoxes (most do 5-6 days though) so it could be easy to come off if you stop right now since the long half-life allows for it to leave your body a little at a time. If you stay on suboxone any longer though it will become much harder to come off of since it's a very potent drug, 40x stronger than hydrocodone.

Yeah, I don't know if you decided on that dose yourself or if a doctor told you to do that (if one did, he/she should loose their license for putting somebody with an hydrocodone dependency like yours on that high of a dose) but either way, you are going to feel 10x better if you start taking much much less. Bupe is very very potent. Hardcore heroin users often need less then 8mg's.. so, you should be taking no more than 1mg.

I'm coming off Iv heroin and I only take 8 mg the first 6 day two 4mg day 3 ,22mg day four then one then a half on day six with plenty of herb for stomach and head400-800mg ib profin for bone aches as needed and 10 mg melatonin and Benadryl 50-100mg for sleep :)
