I am new to bluelight as a member but have been using it for years to find a way in and now a way out of opiate and benzo addiction.
I am now using Lyrica for pain and I want to toss these narcotics as painlessly as possible. I like drugs and always have but I've also experienced 2 dozen years of absolute sobriety in my adult life.
Can you help me out?

I would start with the opioid addiction first you will need benzos to get through it and i would try to ween down or off lyrica before wds so your tolerance is gone. Then in opioid wds high dosing lyrica will be a godsend at holding off wd symptoms. There are lots of great threads on weening down or if you dont like weening cold turkey, i chose to ween and was glad i did. Best of luck keep us posted you will have lots of support here.

Hi thegirlfromNYC! Welcome to BL :)

Some questions for you before I get into a response to your query:

  1. What opioids are you using?
  2. How do you use them?
  3. How long have you been using?

Lyrica is not an opiate. Its typically prescribed for nerve pain and can be habit forming leading to physical withdraws.

Are you wish to quit using Lyrica or an opiate? The process for each will be different.
