HELP funny bud

Hey guys,

aquired sum bud other day, jus ur average smoke orange bud that go about in uk these days, it was quite damp so i left this stuff for few days while finnish ma personal, however it has now got this thick (and i mean thick) yellow powdery coating right thru the bud..the powder is like soft and i want to say oilly for lack of better word...i have never seen anything like this..my first thought ws mould...but like i said ive never seen bright yellow powder mould...is it tampered with??like contaminated?? will it be ok to smoke?? the stuff i been smoking while waitin for this is from same batch but was absoloutly fine....HEEELLLLP!!!! i did notice also that it was takin longer than usual for this stuff to dry..

Also if is mould would makin hash out of it make it safer to smoke? ie stop the mould? or is there anything i can do to make it smokable? also read lot of scare mongering bout smokin the mouldy stuff...dont scare me anymore pls :(

Yeah smoking mould is pretty grim for ya bro. Not much we can do with justa description (though that does sound pretty damn strange)

Any chance of a picture being thrown up here? people can help you a lot more then :)
 
pic? ive gotten bud that was covered in so many crystals that it acquired that look...would make sense with the description as 'oily' too

also wouldnt mold smell...well...moldy?
 
ive heard of something maybe like this from a stupid ass attempt at lacing bud with hash/hash oil. but bright yellow powder? sounds like mold or something nasty, there are not any drugs or anything else i can imagine that fit that description. i would not smoke. ask your dealer... not that itll get you the truth
 
Burn some dont inhale.

get a piece of paper wet the ash and try to finger paint with it.

if its oily and u can litterally smear the paper with it dont smoke.
 
mold can produce oil. Once bud is cut and cured it's not going to gain any crystalline appearance.

Seriously, I wouldn't smoke that. I get the feeling you grew this yourself? If this is the case, upload a photo of the bud in question w/ strain info and how long it was curing, where, and if you know the humidity where it was store... then you should be able to get an easy answer.

Until then, wouldn't smoke it if i were you.

Sounds like worse case scenario imo.

Don't smoke that.
 
tried the ash thing..it not oilly..tryin to get pics up...just now!!!cheers guys....also take it u's wouldn't suggest makin hash or extractin thc?? ive heard that it will be cleasned of impurities during the extraction??8):\
 
i have had weed that has gone mouldy once, AND a second time picked up a whole lot, and it went white a furry all over a week later (i THINK that was mould???), before i had even tried it i think.

smoked it both times, didn't have any issues,

I'm not saying smoke it or don't, cos I don't know what is up with yours, but yeh. Just saying what I have experienced.
 
here's a pic will get one up of the stuff i got from same batch that not like this...ie..its generally rubbish stuff no visable crystals etc...so to have put sum away to dry out n find this screams mould to me n also it not homegrown...let me know wat u guys think and also mainly what i am askin is if extraction would kill off the spurs assummin it mould??? thanks guys!!!=D

Yep that's mould. We have come to a consensus here over the years that mouldy bud can be harmful if ingested regardless of whether it is smoked, eaten or extracted. In short we believe that if you make any bubble, BHO or regular hash with the mouldy product that it will still be tainted.
 
thanks for the input..i got rid of the mouldy mank n got on with my extraction with some healthy stuff i had...all is well i had few questions bout the extraction so started a new thread..please take a look at it ;) also tho ma oil is mighty fiiine ;) lol
