Have drugs enhanced your life?

Overall, would you say that drug (ab)use (licit or illicit) has had a positive effect on your life?

Drugs have helped me know myself, psychedelic drugs have allowed me to resolve things in my head that otherwise would have been buried. At other times drugs have made me friends and have been great to use and share with friends. Drugs have also helped me with anxiety, a nice benzo or two a day keeps me on the level. What does the rest of bluelight think?

I'd like if this could be a yes/no poll please.

Over all no.

I could say psychedelics have enhanced my life and well they just helped me to remember things I forgot, I would be lying though if I said a few grams of grade A+ mushies or some nice lsd didn't enhance a full moon bike ride or sex

i'd like explanations of the yes's and no's and the drugs involved and the AMOUNTS overall as i haven't known anyone to use once or responsibly to say they destroyed their life...aside from those whiny housewives who were fucked up to begin with then used the one use to get pharmies from their docs.

they made me open my eyes to a new viewpoints which was hugely contradictory to my narrow catholic upbringing

I now realize there is never just one single right answer and no universal truths exist because of differences in human perspective and experiences

however I have met a lot of people who rob, cheat, steal, kill and have made enemies

I have put my life in jeopardy from cops, gang members, assholes and addicts who cant control their ussage

god i wish that I and only I could walk into a pharmacy and buy any drug I want (well maybe a few Blers too)

In some ways yes, I know myself a whole lot better than I did before I started using drugs and learned valuable people skills. But on the other hand I've now got a criminal record, and a whole lot less money.
