Hash Oil + Vegetable Oil

I just dissolved a drop of black sticky hash oil in spoon with vegetable oil and heated it until it appeared to dissolve. Slurped it down and it didn't really taste like much, tasted the same way the hash oil alone smells I guess. But I licked some black shit that got stuck to the bottom and it's super bitter.

Did I fuck something up? Has anyone else done this before?
