Hey BL

I've been using ghb/gbl on and off for a couple of years now so I consider myself quite experienced.
However, there's something that has happened to me only a couple of times which I just can't grasp.

After a long night of using ghb and being on the verge of passing out, while walking home I sometimes pass out. Now, instead of falling to the ground, apparently I just keep walking while being unconscious.
Sometimes, I wake up only a few seconds later and I notice that I've walked a straight line of about 50m.
But at other times, I wake up not even knowing where I am, so I figure I must've walked quite a distance while being unconscious. Kinda scary, lol.

Has this ever happened to you?
Or can anyone explain what's going on?

Thanks!

Yeah that's not passing out, that's blacking out, or as FD says "browning out" haha. Very common, surely you have experienced this on alcohol before (or at least know someone who has)? I heard in one of my intro psych classes that once you black out it's much more likely to happen again, and I can say from personal experience (with alcohol) that that is beyond true.

This is called "blacking out" and is pretty common with high doses of any GABAergic drug (alcohol, benzos, barbiturates, quinazolones, GHB).
It's a pretty good sign you should slow down your usage. In a blacked out state people can act rather erratically. Mostly, though, they're just overly suggestible. Just be really careful; if you black out you can get seriously hurt and not recall the circumstances of the incident.
