I think its very in depth about the Sackler family, Purdue Pharma, and big pharma in general. I'm looking forward to the next episode. Thoughts?

Hulu, I think, but you can find the episodes on movie sites online for free if you don't mind possible buffering and constantly clicking out of ads (what I do since I'm cheap. Haha.).Not heard of it. Whats it on?

To me there's a number of movies and even a series that included drug interventions, which is why I was intrigued by the fact that they based a miniseries about the Sackler's/Purdue Pharma and named actual names without legal repercussions. Interventions are also a part of the series regarding the trickle down effects of big pharma vs. Doctors vs. Addicts, but yes, the main focus is the Sackler family, as they are one of the main drug companies people claim are responsible for the opioid epidemic. The film bounces around in all the years between 1996 to present day, from date of manufacturing to the present epidemic. Even more, it focuses on the many lawsuits they faced (and won), and the selling slogan they'd have people tell doctors in order to push the oxy--"Less than 1% get addicted"....yep. The nerve of those people and it made them rich. Don't even get me started on the fact that they created the 80mg pill during a time when they were being investigated by the DEA. The Sacklers are THAT confident of their empire. They also mention drug user websites that people would go for information regarding how to bypass the time-released effect of the pills (not exactly harm reduction forums like these). So far from what I've watched, I'd say the director, writers, and producers did their homework. They perfectly captured the desperation of addiction struggles as well. I give it 5 stars as of now. I'm 5 episodes into it and I'd highly recommend it.Been planning to, but not yet. Was hoping it was more akin to Intervention than a big pharma documentary, though.
