Sometimes I get hard swellings in the veins I inject into. Generally, it only happens in veins I have used for a long time but tonight I just did one shot into a fresh vein that I've only used once before (months ago) and I imediately got the hard swelling. What causes this? Can I still use the veins that have these?

Are you missing maybe just a tiny bit? I have veins that are sooo testy that i can miss a tiny bit and i dont even feel like i have moved the syringe at all...in or out the vein...Sometimes it takes like a fraction of a ml, and your out the vein....

You mean missing the entire shot or missing just a little bit of the shot? I am definitely not missing the shot, but sometimes the needle will slip out and some of the heroin solution will go outside the vein. I can usually tell when this happens because I feel a slight pain.

Nah dude i just ment missing a tiny bit of the shot....Like a real sml amount....Then most the time you can correct and get back in the vein...

Others will come with better advice than me mate...Untill then, dont go into the same place again...

I used to get those early on too, and they took forever to go away. I would just rub vitamin e gel or even neosporin over it - sort of making a slippery massage. They were painless, and have nothing from them now. Never figured out what caused them, tho. Oh, and heat.
