I've been using recreationally for almost 10 years and I never had anything like this happen. Two nights ago I was drinking alcohol throughout the day and drank a bottle of Waltussin. Off brand Robitussin. Just one bottle to relax and take my mind off things. Years ago I would generally down 3 and 1 is basically nothing. I had also taken an adderall a few hours before that as I'm prescribed. And took my seroquel when I was ready for sleep.
Out of nowhere my forearm cramps up. It was painful. Than the rest of the left side of my body cramps up. Than my heart started racing to the extreme and my whole body received this burning sensation. Than I became extremely weak. More so on one side of my body. I could barely move my arm. I felt paralyzed. My roomate literally had to put a glass of water to my lips so I could drink because I was to weak to pick it up. Than my speech became impaired. This was not because I was high. At this point the Tussin had almost worn off. I thought for sure I was going to die. It was off and on too. One second I'm in terrible pain and feel like I'm dying and than 10 second later I'd be fine. And than it would come back with a vengeance. I thought it was maybe a stroke. But when the ambulance finally arrived and got to the hospital whatever was occurring almost over. When I told them I had taken DXM they blew off everything I said was happening to me and thought it was all in my head and that I was having a bad trip. I've taken DXM hundreds of times and 3x the amount of what I took that night. I was damn near sober when this all happened. Anyone know what could have caused this? I only had 1 adderall, 1 seroquel, 1 tussin, and not much to drink hours earlier. Combination maybe? But I''ve had that combination many times. But either way It was terrifying. Regardless I won't be taking DXM ever again.
