I actually have a question can anyone please help. Ok so I have been doing dope for months now yeah I'm hooked well this morning had no dope and had work. I'm a roofer so doing that sick yeah right. Well I took 8mg Suboxone and it helped but now I wanna know how long do I have to wait until I can do heroin without it being blocked? I only took 8 mg Suboxone for one day at. Like 10am this morning it's now 11pm so it's been around 13 hours

One dose of Suboxone is unlikely to cause much of an opioid block. However, the more pressing concern is a potential to overdose. Buprenorphine (the active drug in Suboxone when taken correctly under the tongue) has an extremely long half-life. Add to that the inconsistent purity of an unknown dose of heroin and death becomes a real concern.

You should likely wait 24 hours. The Suboxone should hold you got that long and keep you well.

You should wait 24 hours with the subs. If you're willing to waste money a higher dose can get you were you want by 12 hours just work up slowly

[somehow taco posted in OD after I'd moved OP's post here (OP having posted within an unrelated thread in OD) and I can't move a post from OD INto a thread here. See, I learned so much already]

IME after 24 hours you can feel other opiates a bit. After 48 hours you can feel them 80%. Keep in mind, if your heroin has fentanyl in it... which lots of heroin does... it will cut right through the suboxone and you can use it any time.

Wait at least 24 hours. 48 hours if you can. The longer you wait and give the Sub time to leave your receptors, the more you will be able to feel your dope. Sub lasts a long time. And in my experience, after taking sub, even waiting 3 days afterwards, shoots your tolerance up and the dope doesn't feel nearly as good for awhile.

After only one use? This is something I actually never tried. I had always assumed it was like methadone. Methadone only begins blocking after repeated usage. I found at least a week straight and a nearly complete block was in place after about 5 weeks (so basically, as you transfer your addiction to it). I always figured Suboxone would be similar since they block opioids in the same way (receptor saturation).

Yes, after one use. Suboxone binds to receptors super fast- you can be in full blown opiate withdrawal, take a strip of suboxone, and 15 minutes later the withdrawal is fully gone because it's bound to the receptors. Bupe is 20-40 times more potent then morphine, so as soon as it attaches to those receptors, nothing else is getting in there. At least in my experience.

I had a friend that shot 3 bags an hour after taking 2 mgs of bupe (he thought his guy wasn't going to be able to come today day and took the bupe to hold him over), and he felt nothing and was super pissed he wasted his dope. I took 300 mgs of morphine at night after using bupe in the mornig once, hoping it had worn off a good amount after 12 hours, because I was in horrible pain and I couldn't feel it at all.

Though, it's a partial agonist, so I would think taking a tiny amount (.25 mg or less), you may be able to feel a little bit of an opiate. However, most doctors WAY over prescribe suboxone- even 2 mg is WAY more than needed- let alone 21 mgs and higher like some people have- and those doses make it hard to feel much of an opiate after you've dosed.

Interesting. I didn't know that. So many people come on here talking about switching back and forth between Suboxone and dope as their supply dries up and then floods again that I had assumed it was the same as methadone in that regard.
