So I have 50 or so seeds of two different unknown strains. I can't grow at home so I'm thinking of planting in hidden areas in parks and such around my area.

What do I need to know before failing by just shoving them in the dirt and leaving them to rot.

Cheers guys :)

^^^ thats about it. Outdoor weed is better too. Just make sure you have a good source of water or the time/strength to carry all you need without looking suspect. In a short while you'l have bud to smoke. Its that simple... mostly.

Ever hear of Humboldt Treetop?

1. Find a tree with low overhanging branches and distributed upper branches so that sunlight can filter through.

2. Plant your weed in some plastic pots with your own mix of soil.

3. Place in the nook of the tree and be careful to not break your neck when checking on it.

I have heard you may want to place non reflective chicken wire around it cause birds will use it for nests and little critters will eat it.

When visiting your plants make sure you have either binoculars or one of those film cameras around your neck so you can use birdwatching as a cover and alibi.;)

Keep your mouth shut and get a good lawyer if caught, but you should be fine, if careful.

dude i was totally thinking about doing this as well.

everyone should save their seeds and just shove them in the dirt when spring comes along.

hehe - should make for an interesting summer :)

keep your mouth shut and don't let anybody else know your grow operation
also it takes more than just "stick em' in soil"
you need to have a water pump for that many plants

be warned though, outdoor grow-op can be spotted easily

OP if your going to DIG then At least the Area of a 5gallon bucket & replace with good soil & then plant.

I've found the perfect spot for growing. This abandoned track with thick dense scrub everywhere and trees but areas which still get sunlight.

So I can't just stick them in any soil right? What about if I overturn some and mix it up? Or is it best I get some nice soil from my own garden at home to use.

And if I leave it over there to grow, how often should I water it? Someone told me every 2 weeks, but to me, that seems like a lengthy time.

Buy some gardening shit, I'd check on it every week, feed it a little bit, just make sure there's no one around seeing you do it, just bring a bunch of that store bought soil in a plastic bag and dig a hole or something, plant in scattered parts. I may try growing some later on, its winter fucking now, or atleast later help my friends grow some by hooking them up with seeds.

I'd spray capsaicin (or a formula with it they sell) it on the plants, but I dunno how you would keep it away from the buds and smoking that shit would not be fun. (I smoked a joint with dried habanero peppers in it just to say I did and it burned like fuck and made me feel so sick) You could put a fence up of some sort, or I dunno what you could do, just make sure its hidden behind plants and shit.

Its funny THC is supposed to protect the plant from herbivores but they'll eat that shit in a heartbeat, a fucking raccoon ate my weed that my mom threw away (I went in the garbage to look and found an empty baggie with the corner ripped off lol) I wonder if they get stoned off of it.

I forgot the most important tip, do not grow in rows!! Or circles or any design that can be spotted from the sky. Randomly scatter the plants within the natural surrounding brush and trees. Sounds like a big duh but I think you may subconsciously grow in a circle or a diagonal row which can easily be separated from the natural landscape from an aerial view.

I said that already, but yeah plant near bushes and things that will either cover the plant up or blend in so it doesn't stand out. For example, if you grew in your own yard and had a big garden you could probably get away with planting weed near tomatoes or planting near bushy plants that look like weed, in fact you can google plants that look like weed that you can plant. But if I had my own house I'd grow indoors, easier to control light and keep pests away.

I could actually probably have a pretty decent grow setup in my house, but I'm worried my mom would eventually stumble into the room, but nobody besides me goes back there (to smoke)

The interesting thing is I have watched the same video they use to train LEOs to spot outdoor grows from the 1990s or so. I am sure it is still relevant today. They know about the growing in trees method and floating gardens (Which even I have never heard of, damn those crafty stoners.;)) I believe all of the grows spotted were because the grower either intentionally or subconsciously grew in patterns like rows or in clumped circles.
