Grand Theft Auto!

I was a fan for many years. I started playing the original on the PS1.

I liked the most recent one in terms of story mode, but I felt they really dropped the ball regarding the online play. Not only did it fail to live up to my expectations, but they made a lot of promises which they took an awful long time to deliver on.

I don't have a next gen console so I doubt I will continue to play them, although if I do end up with the relevant console then this is one game series I will always purchase.

Which one do you like the most? I think I probably liked San Andreas the best.

Vice city did it for me. Loved that game. Also liberty city stories. Like you, I started play on the ps1. Graduated to the ps4 now. The online I got heavy into at first release on the ps3 but it does my head in now. Full of little kids that can't do the heists and wanna blow me up. No fun.
San Andreas was pretty cool at the time....loved the radio stations then. On gta v they're pretty sucky haha

I dug the vibe of Vice City for sure. Great soundtrack and getting people like Ray Liotta and Dennis Hopper to voice some of the characters was a good call. IIRC that was the first one to feature motorbikes which added a nice element to the game.

Sometimes I think GTA1 and GTA London are the best ones in terms of pure challenge. One shot and you are wasted, and the aiming is way less accurate. Honestly one of my biggest criticisms of the 3d GTA games was the auto aim. GTA 2 had a really promising element where you could make enemies and allies out of the different gangs on each map, which influenced the missions you had access to. I was always disappointed they didn't develop this idea in to the later games.

Did you predict the cities the games would be released in based on the first game? If you go back and check out the original, the three cities were Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas. After GTA 3 was in Liberty City I predicted the sequels would follow the remaining cities from the first game.

Candy Suxx and her massive knockers made me laugh big time.
And that red neck gun dude.....can't remember the name. I also thought that the previous gta's were waaaay more difficult then the newer ones. It took me forever to complete them.

P.S. with me being a noob, I can't reply to your PM yet......have to wait :-)
