Opioids Got really Oral Morphine Tollerant Now Should I ask To Try Oxycodone ?

Im going to see my dr very soon and ive become really tolerant to Mst after being on it for over 7 years. Is it worth my while asking to try oxycontin or is oxycodone not really worth it ? Ive always had a preferance to morphine and wonder if id even get on with oxycontin as when i tried it before i found it was just like a stronger form of codeine although i only had a 60mg dose. Am really struggling on mst now and have been using heroin on top lately.

I do wonder if ditching time release morphine could be an option and just have 6x 50mg sevredol instead of about 150mg Mst twice daily as I dont really need it to work when im asleep really Id rather stronger effects while im awake personally. My only other option seems to me to be to ask for some oxycodone or oxycontin on a trial basis to see if it works better for me than it did in the past. The only other opioids i can think of that are used in uk are hydromorphone, diamorphine tablets or diconal. I assume the latter 2 would would probably not be an option specialy diconal as there £129 a box. Not sure what to do im sick of being under medicated, why does oral morphine suck so badly :( I suppose i better try get sum sleep till morning :? peace
 
Oxys are stronger than morphine. Different than heroin. Short life opiate unless you take it every 3,5 hours.
ER morphine is good for pain relief but you don´t get as euphoric, but it might help with w/d issues.
Morphine sucks probably because you have developed opiate tolerance.
You shouldn´t use heroin whist on other meds, specially Oxys IR imo.

Being under medicated sucks I know.

Thanks Erikmen i have complicated pain and dependance issues ive been on MST continus scince around 2007 for a long time they worked although i was on methadone and then fentanyl too. Scince ive only had Mst's and tiny dose of IR Morphine 40mg daily its just not been strong enough for me. oxycodone and hydromorphone are only other alternatives here except diconal or diamorphine tablets last 2 are probably not an option. I think it might be better if i just ask to try an alternative opioid or dose increase than ask for a specific one it might sound better.
