Aight, so I know for a fact I got the stupid virus on Saturday. I'm double vaccinated and didn't have any symptoms, had to do a pcr test Tuesday cause I flew back home and that's how I found out.

Since yesterday I've had a very slight headache, some little pressure on my chest, the odd cough and fatigue and shit. I wouldn't have even noticed I was ill if it wasn't for the positive test.

Now I don't want to be retarded and start hitting the bong all day long and churning my insides, but I want to get back to smoking as soon as I can, since I wasn't able to smoke while on vacation.

How long you reckon I should wait until I can be back on that good shit? Just playing it safe

if your lungs are as clear as before and your throat and nasal passages are as comfortable as before the test, they you are good to go now.

in my opinion as not a doctor.

So I Googled "marijuana and covid" and the first page of results almost all echo the same sentiments. The link above was the clearest cut, though, and much easier to read.

"Experts" seem to think marijuana leads to an increased risk for catching covid, even if you've been "fully vaccinated." There's not much about smoking while you're sick with it, though. Personally? If I felt well enough to indulge myself, I would smoke through it. The biggest test would be how my body (respiratory system especially) responded to that first hit, and subsequently the first session.

If it were me, I honestly wouldn't stop unless my body was telling me it's a bad idea.

just my opinion as not a doctor. :)

As another not-doctor, I advise that you take a massive bong rip ASAP! Smoke that covid out of its hole!

I like how they just say "Cannabis use" and don't even try to factor in that cannabis users often pass around joints/blunts/pipes and share bongs with lots of other people. To me, that's kind of like using the same fork for 12 people eating lasagna and claiming it could be the lasagna that increased chances of Covid.

There's a lot of variables that go into it, for sure.

Thing is, I'm still on the fence about covid and the way it's reported. I don't really believe anything they say anymore other than I'm at risk of catching it no matter what I do.

Same goes for almost all news these days. If there's a talking head on the TV that mentions "and that's why the Left/Right/Liberals/Convservatives are the Devil!" then I immediately lose all faith in whatever they're saying. Im tired of the news being used to point fingers instead of highlighting issues and just giving the facts, and it seems like that's all the news is these days. At least on those political channels.

Local news isn't so bad. I honestly don't know what I'd do without my morning weather and traffic report. :)

Who says covid means you can't smoke weed when I catch a bug and it makes me I'll I find weed helps a lot and it's scientifically proven to as well because weed makes your body release immune regulators in turn reducing the severity of symptoms.

A lot of stoners like me though usually smoke solo so no germs are getting passed around by us solo tokers

But the thing is, they're not mentioning anything about sharing.

They're chalking up the increased risk to substance use disorders, period. That leaves a lot of room for speculation. Perhaps the act of smoking anything weakens your immune and respiratory systems-- leaving your lungs/throat with a sort of chink in their armor, and your immune system sluggish to shore up those breached defenses.

Or it could be the act of sharing joints and paraphernalia, which they so sneakily forgot to mention.

Or it could be that covid is birthed in flame and travels on smoke.

Or... or.... or they're full of shit, full stop.

Like I said, I have trouble trusting the way this whole thing has been reported in mass media. It's been misinformation from conflicting sources from the start, and that hasn't really changed in the past year and a half. All I can say I'm confident of is that there's a disease going around and if you get it you might die, or you might not even know you have it because all you get is the sniffles and a headache.

So I just cover my face when I'm in public and whatever happens happens. I'll be honest, the one silver lining is that I kind of like being able to mask up and not have people think I'm a criminal. Especially in the Winter! Helps keep my face warm on those cold nights delivering shit.

The theory is that vaccine makes you less sick. You seem to have been spared from any symptoms that would indicate reduced respiratory function. If your lungs work, i think you can use them to smoke as normal.

Smoking isn't really healthy either way of course but thats a different topic entirely.

Maybe it's good to wait and see how bad the disease gets, for a few days. There's always edibles.

I had Covid early on and had an internal infection at the same time so I could not take my prescribed thc oil and could only smoke.

There were no injections yet so I was just sick but I didnt get any respiratory issues at all. Because my jnfection was causing nausea marijuana was the only thing that was keeping me from heaving for hours on end.

My Doctor informed me much later on saying both Covid and thc attach to the cb2 receptors (quoting from aging memory feel free to correct me on the right receptor name). He felt my smoking may have contributed to an easier time with Covid. He is a specialist in Marijuana medication, he is biased and could be as wrong as any other doctor.

From personal experience I didn't have a problem smoking but I have always preferred edibles, it may be a option if you are experiencing respiratory issues.

You dont need a Vax, you need ivermectin, It will knock covid out in 5 days,,, then your natural immunity will kick corvids but!

that vaccine will kill you you, you have safe alternatives , ivermectin will knock it out in 5 days, then your natural immunity will take over.

Imo as not a doctor:
Dont smoke excessively and you should be fine. Your symptoms sound mild so just take it easy and maybe make some edibles instead.

Or thought its probably advisable for you to just stay hydrated and get some rest.
Chicken soup is good too, warm and full of nutrients.

Just to give an update for people that may stumble into this post. Didn't end up smoking.

Same day I asked the question, felt like shit by the time night came by. Next day had a continuous fever that wouldn't go down and was a bit delirious, short term memory gaps and that shit. Also cough got worse and my throat started hurting.

Yesterday was much better, waking up in the morning with some fever and then again raising a temperature only at night time. Today I seem to be better also.

As a great man once said, I'm no doctor, but probably for the better I didn't end up smoking and aggravating my lungs making it easier for the virus to fuck 'em up. Also, bong hits couldn't have done wonders for my throat given how much they usual dry it.

Probably gonna get back to smoking in a couple of day give or take, have me some memory loss by choice this time around. Can't say I regret delaying it

Hope you recover soon (definitely before xmas!)
I've only had the mild variant (remember the good old days of 18 months ago when there was regular covid and a milder version and not all these super-covid ones?) and it didn't affect my smoking, really, but I had a pretty bad chest infection earlier this year and it was a nightmare trying to just have a cigarette. I'd inhale like a fifth of what I normally would and cough till I got those black spots in my vision.

Hey i was very ill a month ago wasnt covid but the flu and even vape hits were harsh as fuck on my throat and made me cough too.
Could only get away with low temperature vape bong hits with fair amount of water in the bong

Hope you make a full recovery soon (so you can get high as well lol)
