What is some good music for tripping in the Appalachian mountains at night? I was thinking artists like grizzly bear or emancipator but I like most kinds of music and am open to anything.

i went on a hiking trip recently, we took some shrooms and climbed to the top of this mountain. When we got to the top of the mountain there was a scenic overlook and while i was gazing over the valley my friend put this song on and it was one of the most introspective moments of my life.

Absolutely nothing. Listen to the symphony of the wind breezing through the trillions of bristles on the trees all around you, the pure silence that fills the air, and the throbbing pulse of nature. While tripping, you'll find yourself at one with all of this and no musical score could touch the euphoria that accompanies such a moment.

I was going to say boards of canada, but you're already familiar with them according to your username lol. Seriously though dude, you don't need music for outdoor tripping...

I would agree that sans music is most appropriate, music is my lifeblood whilst society-dwelling but I don't see where it finds effective context in a night time deep woods setting. Music intrinsically draws consciousness away from environment, if only for that fact that it occludes the senses, but the ways Ive found to experience reality becoming absorbed into that environment, the deep forest alone at night, are something I don't want to attempt to modulate with music.

Advice if you havent tried this tho, mind the lunar cycle, I think youll enjoy a full moon the most, but a new moon will be the blackest night you could fuckin imagine.
