God of War 3

i loved all the ps2 and even psp games. will probably pick it up eventually. any good?

God damn amazing. When I started out, I thought, "wow, that's sick." 20min later, it just gets better! Haha. Great gfx, fun gameplay, and it kept me interested the whole time.

Yeah its great. The only thing i didnt like is that unlike part 2, when you finish 3 and replay the game, theres no option to play the game with your upgraded weapons. You start from scratch again.

how long is the game? any two player options or anything like that?

The game is about 10-12hrs long. Maybe a rental is an option. I dont think its got multiplayer or anything like that.

Loved playing the demo at a friends but sadly I dont own a PS3 and he doesnt have the funds to own the game yet :\

i decided to hit up the ps3 "collections" god of war 1 + 2 before getting this. all are pretty cheap from certain ebay stores, by the time i go through the first two again, 3 should be down to around 30-40 bucks. :)

oh man, i remember writing a review for the first one which was published in drum media. =D

Lots of good memories from part 1 and 2. One part that sticks out from part 2 is the boss battle again Clotho.

Playing this game now on Chaos mode. I beat the original two on God and Titan mode. The first GOW wasn't too much of a challenge on God mode, but Titan mode on GOW2 was ridiculous. Right now I have almost beaten the game, but am stuck on that last fucking cerebus breeder with the two satyrs. I hated that part on Titan difficulty, I imagine this one might take me a while. Zeus should be easy by comparison.

Favorite game series of all time, by the way.

Finally beat the cerberus breeder and Satyr. Final boss now, I will probably do it tomorrow. If anybody needs any help with this game, I am practically a strategy guide right now.

Game was ok but it didnt motivate me enough to play it on chaos mode. Add to the fact that you didnt even get a new skin or even a trophy for doing it is pretty lame. I played it on titan mode my first time around due to the face i did beat Gow2 on Titan.

I just hate the labyrinth and scorpion boss(cheap version of the barbarian in gow2 in which you feel like your fighting the camera more than anything) and those stupid trial and error flying parts.

Some of the "gods" are true pansies. You fight and kill the most powerful ones at the beginning of the game.

Getting the whip is pointless and irrelevent to the main storyline. It is needed for one part but i feel the who sequence disrupted that natural flow of the game.

Too much back tracking spending too much time in hades. There really isnt a lot of content in the game, its mostly smoke and mirrors.

Imho as many there are as bad things about the game as there is good. So very bitter-sweet for me. Gow2 is my fav but even titan mode is easy for me now. I one shot the part before clotho last time through.

That part before Clotho is definitely the hardest in GOW2 (on Titan, I remember it being much easier on lower difficulties).

You should really give Chaos mode a shot. It feels like the game is meant to be played on that difficulty. Poseidon actually becomes exceedingly difficult, Hades is still pretty easy, as are Helios and Hermes. You still actually feel that the game lives up to the challenge. The Scorpion is not too bad if you know what to do. Once you see his tail moving you use Hermes boots to dodge them and you are home free. Use up your magic the first time you break his legs and get the O prompt over his head, repeat and then use Rage of Sparta. Chaos mode requires you to be much more resourceful.

What I did to get past the Cerberus breeder and satyrs was kick the puppies at him and dodge his attacks till you get the first head off, then when the satyr came up I used Hades Claws to summon a Gorgon serpent to freeze and crush the satyr. When you get the second head off the dog, use the gorgon again to freeze both satyrs at the same time. It requires a little luck, as you only get two casts per full bar of magic, so you have to get them lined up and be extremely accurate. Once you are only dealing with the Cerberus you are home free.

I hear ya. I tried telling a friend of mine that you have really experienced Gow2 until you have beaten it on titan mode. He was just too much of a pansie.

I have since sold my PS3 to my g/f to give to her son for his birthday.. doh. Now that i can hook up my consoles online i want to buy another one.
