does anybody else here make their own glass pipes, bongs, vaporizers or anything??i've been into gb/tw for awhile now and would be glad to answer any questions you might have pertaining to the subjects of working w/glass or making proffesional grade smoking devices at home

Yeah I blew glass from 02-07'. Going to get back into it sometime soon.

Never done it, but it is on my Life-long To Do list.

where could i learn about it, like classes or something?

ive been interested in this for chemistry applications, how long does it take until you can start forging 2 necked flasks or just simple round bottom flasks?

never done it, but ive always been interested.

id imagine you would need quite a bit of start up equipment

i took some classes, and it was really intersting, but the guy wasnt really doing things i was interseted in. I plan on getting back into it soon.

i've not really invested too much into it.most sites and people will tell you that you need at least an oxy/propane torch or better to really do anything but i disagree i use standard brass propane torches and a powercell prop torch

Ok.. I used to have a nice torch but sold it in 07'. I had gotten pretty good, started on a 3a blowpipe and progressed up to a lynx and then a HA 40 mil.. I plan on starting again soon..
Did it for 5 years till I got sidetracked by junk..

Why did you edit me RR?? srsly?

Yea u do need an oxy/propane torch.. you could start for as little as 500 bux without a kiln.. 1-2 G's would be more ideal.

This. even 3g's if you could swing it so you can buy a torch to grow into like a GTT Phantom. I'd also recommend a small kiln like an AIM LS/D. Reason for this kiln over others is 1)cost 2)garage type door and 3) It has a digi controler so you can get your annealing schedule perfect.

I've been a career pipemaker for 5 years and run a GTT Mirage. I mostly do color changing inside out prodo (spoons, bubs, sherlocks, etc.) and bigger "heady prodo".

I will when I have some new stuff. I just sold a case of work. I'll have more within a week.

Edit: Found a few pics of some recent(ish) work.

Fucked up the pattern on this one. I had to turn it into a chillum to not waste the color:

That spoon with the dichro looks sweet. What size tubing do you start off with for a piece like that? I got an oxy acetylene torch and some boro tubing, but I think it might be to small, I think it's like 5 or 6 mm, and the wall thickness is really thin.
