Girlfriend's name TATTOO?

ive been thinking about getting her named tattood on the bottom of my arm from my elbow to wrist in old english i know she would love it i wana know though if there is something else i could get instead of her name just cuz i think it would mean more to her no matter what i get i wont regret it if we break up cuz i never regret stuff as long as it use to make me happy ive always been that way. we plan on getting married in the next 2 or 3 years we have been together for 3years her name is Beatrice what do you think her name or a symbol and if a symbol then what should i get???????
 
Not her name. Just because you don't regret it didnt mean your next gf would be too keen...
 
The only woman's name you should EVER get tattooed are your Mom and/or your daughter. Period.

Buy her flowers, better yet pick her some. I bet you get the same response.

If you're determined to get a symbol, I would suggest Bea Arthur. Hawt!

I would never get a name tattoo of a lover for two reasons.

you will regret it when you breakup if you do
and
next gf will not be keen with it at all
 
your spelling is terrible. if you decide to do this, for god's sake make sure the copy you give the artist is spelled correctly...

I used to work with a guy who had "Lisa" tattooed on his arm. I asked him who Lisa was, and he told me that she was his girlfriend before she slept with his brother. I was going to make a point on the back of that story, but to be honest I think it speaks for itself.
 
I guess Beatrice is better than fanny or Arsetit but there isn't going to be a difference if you guys break up. I echo the previous comment, don't worry how you will feel, be concerned for any future girlfriends feelings.

If you are taking requests I think you should get a dolphin or butterfly instead.

this is true my boyfriend has his moms name on the back side of his arm going down in old english letters , i like it! its nice and it gives him an edge . but i wouldn't be to keen if it was his ex girlfriends name tho.
maybe her initials something small
 
get it on the inside of your ass cheek. so u dont ever have to look at it or any other girl for that matter hahha
 
o and this guy i kno dated this girl forabout 2 years 2 weeks after he got her name tatt'd real big on his forearm she left him thats all im gonna say.
 
Now you mention it, I know a girl who had a guy's name tattooed on the back of her neck and got dumped 3 days later. If there are people out there who are totally happy with someone else's name being tattooed on them, please share, because the testimony ITT is pretty one-sided...
 
I've certainly known far more people who wish they hadn't, than are glad they had.

Try something else, like a special phrase or song lyric that is meaningful to her.
Her favorite expression.
Her favorite cartoon character, or symbol, or flower.
Something that has a special, secret meaning that only she would know.

Anything but her name...
 
^that's interesting. I always knew that the girlfriend's name tattooed was a terrible idea, but I never thought about how it actually affects the dynamics of the relationship. It basically screams to the whole world that you either wish you were married, or you are expecting to marry that person, or something along those lines. It just says "This is permanent goddamnit!!"
You might as well just propose already, it's less presumptuous and awkward.

If I had a girlfriend who just randomly got my name tattooed I would probably wait about a week, maybe less depending, before dumping her. I'd feel so trapped immediately upon seeing that, no matter how hot the girl is, unless it's someone who's legit special....maybe...

Just get "Wino Forever" lol
