So we watched a video on buzzfeed about weird things couples do. At the end the lady says she really only loved her husband for 10 years instead of 12 because of fights. Well my girlfriend joked around and says 2 so i said 2.5 so i had the bigger number. We've been together for 4. It was a joke, just like the video. What upsets me is that she's allowed to get pissed at my comment, but i can't at hers. Wtf
 
The only reason i took it serious is because she started crying and now won't talk to me. She fell asleep crying. We've had our ups and downs, but who doesn't. Just wish she could get over silly things
 
Yeah that's true. Only problem is she never forgets anything. Today she brought something up that happened 3 years ago. I know I'll hear about this later down the road.

never take a girl's tears seriously. they're a form of manipulation. her tears are HER problem, not yours.

but it all depends on how you said it, iv only been told a million time growing up, its not what you say but how you say it... just tell her you were making a joke and that if you really felt that way you would of left her a year and a half ago....

Yeah, i wish she'd just go home. She almost did and know she started crying again. She's been doing this for 1.5 hours in my bathroom. Get the fuck up and get over it. It was a damn joke.

believe me i know how emotional females can get... but say her tears are her problems is kinda fucked up.... depending on the situation, you either see whats wrong and if its warrented and you can do something, do it... if not then just let her get it out of her system... but for real its better to have a girl that crys then one thats goes fuckin berzerk over shit neither of you can control...
 
Does seem like an over-reaction. When she calms down, tell her that you were joking (that you meant 1.5 :D). People can have off days for reasons that their partner may not understand (they may not understand themselves at times). Chalk it up to experience - but remember that in three years time, she will bring it up in an argument :D

LMAO i swear thats def some shit i would personally say.... but having lived and learned, right after a crying spell isnt always the best time to crack another joke lol.... and your right sometimes ppl just get into a funk on certain days and they dont even know why... shit mabe cook up some dinner or do something nice, hell cant hurt

I would agree it means you're being manipulated by your partner but I don't think just "walking away or something" is very good advice either. That would be a pretty great way to make things worse if your partner had a legitimate reason to be upset. Your posts in this thread just make you sound incredibly sexist. There's immature drama queens in both sexes and I refuse to deal with any of them so fortunately I don't have to deal with any of these problems.

For reference I no longer do relationships, but I learned a lot from them when I did. For me being single is a higher plane of existence. Maybe if I have a third kid I'll try to be with the mother.

I stick hard and fast to a "fuck their tears" rule though. My relationships made me cold hearted.
 
So basically you're generalizing all women based on YOUR failed relationships. Clearly no one forced you to be with these people and have kids with them. Doesn't sound like you learned anything at all.

I never had a kid with a girlfriend, that happened outside ofh relationships. Also.if you like it raw you are forced to run the risk of kids or get a vasectomy
