OD does seem to be a potential problem with NBOMes, Ben. I'm pretty sure it's when folk don't know what they're taking and/or don't know (or can't) dose it properly though. As long as you know the dose you should have nothing to worry about. Dunno what the blotters are dosed at but know plenty here have had experience with 'em who can no doubt be of more use than me.

Would be so much more helpful if media reports actually reported what happened rather than just printing gibberish about "new LSD" and the like. Not holding me breath, mind. Check the B&D threads in PD would probably be best advice.

I'd just start with one and check the lie of the land really. Pretty sure they ain't gonna be laying 'em at fatal levels per tab. Given how relatively few reports of problems there have been compared to the amount of NBOMe blotter being passed off as acid it's likely only a few utter morons taking sheets or summat ridiculous that are making headlines. Worth exercising caution with all the same. Dead is dead.

In some online forums, the users seem to consider themselves members of an exclusive club, and they love chatting about the chemical components of the crap they consume, about how stupid the media is for always misreporting something that some kid OD'd on as 2,5-Dimethoxy-4-bromophenethylamine when it was actually N-(2-methoxybenzyl)-4-iodo-2,5-dimethoxyphenethylamine. Their superior grasp of chemistry allows many of them to know for certain that it's never the substance alone that kills people, it's that some greenhorn hasn't done his homework, which in turn fuels a media frenzy and hollow political outrage. The story you are reading will no doubt be parsed to shreds on these forums faster than you can say "4-hydroxy-N,N-dimethytriptamine."

bit of a random question which time of the day do you guys prefer to do aMT? i usually take stuff in the evening but because of the duration i might be tempted to dose mid day or something when it comes to it. arrived today
 
Dan: Is great for daytrips and nighttrips. Particularly nice taken in the morning if it's a sunny day ahead.

Thanks Shambles. That was exactly my plan. One on it's own for the entire duration. If that doesn't do it I have another two which equates to what I have seen as a fair-ish dose to experience the next step up so to speak. All being well of course.

Dan it really doesn't matter when you dose because of the duration you will be tripping for at least a bit of the time in the dark and the light. It's great. The best of both worlds. I really fucking hope you experience some of what I have on the stuff. Pure magic. Love swirly magic.

Agreed on both counts. I once emailed a journalist about downright dangerous misinformation she included in an article and - surprise, surprise - got totally ignored. I'm sure she was just busy making some other stuff though which is surely more important than correcting jaw-dropping errors that could kill somebody.

Probably. Watch out for that MAOi stuff though - is only a relatively mild effect but can seriously potentiate stuff. Perhaps to dangerous levels in some cases. It's not an ideal drug tu be mixing but opiates should be okay. Just don't go silly with dosing.

Tbh I've never experienced enough oxy to feel a noticeable high.

Can't believe how much some people pay for em too.
 
Why would you take opiates in such a way as to avoid nodding? Surely that's like taking enough acid to not trip. What would be the point? Unless you're in pain, I suppose.

Also, I almost daren't broach the topic... but you are aware that aMT is legendary for its afterglow aren't ya, Dan? :D
