GHB opiate like effects and such

I have the distinct feeling that GHB has some opiate like effects. Maybe because it modulates GABA receptor sites?
Anyone else had this, Phreex ?
Some people claim they get more buzz out of a beer than GHB , but i suspect:
you have 2 kinds of people:
- people that dose too much or too less GHB and it just makes you sleepy
- people that know their dose and "GET LAUNCHED"
Now, after some fuckups in the past(honestly , how many G-heads didn't fuck up at least one time?) i now know how to get launched, funny thing is it resembles a bit of a heroin rush (really small pupils, spine wrapped up in cotton feeling, relaxed, yet madass energy)
Then, when the dopamine rebound hits me i feel like a crazy monkey on coke and testorerone and the comedown feels like small amounts of E
3 kicks for the cost of one cheap drug not bad?
 
First, getting launched from G is the way in which you would get there. Dose, setting yada! Dose especially. Optimal for me can be up to 7 ml. You (and I suspect most people) would probably get sick. BTW: I am talking about BDO or 1,4 Butenediol which is a very close relatove to G.
To answer the post. Yes, GHB has some affinity for the opiod µ receptor. This is why there is a definite opiate feeling to it. It has some similarities to heroin in that they both target dopamine and the opiod receptors. Neat stuff, this is. Human Growth Hormone excretion isn't bad either. Nice if your trying to gain weight.
 
GHB does not have opiate effects. That's only my opinion of course, but I'm sticking with it. Sounds to ME like you haven't been taking enough opiates. Eating one or two or three or even four vicodins might only make you tired and warm, a bit like GHB, but if you've really had a taste of the opiate euphoria I'm not sure how you can even compare the two.
 
well i have taken BOTH OPIATES and GHB....i can say that BOTH are very nice "highs",BUT they are not the same "type" of "high"....GHB is a "feel great,horny as fuck,go party" good type of feeling,whereas OPIATES are that "just let me sit back and rest in BLISS" type of high...
GHB has never made me feel warm...it does make me feel great though..the COMEDOWN sucks though..
OPIATES make me feel really happy and just CONTENT with everything..i can literally just sit there and be CONTENT without having to do anything,whereas on GHB,i have to get up and do something nonstop or else i get kinda CRANKY..i cant sit still on GHB..totally the opposite of OPIATES...
