I suffer from GAD en SAD and notice that when I'm using GHB (i'm talking about just one single dose) and it's working off (that's already after 1 hour) my anxiety gets much worse and when the dopamine rebound kicks in, it's threw the roof.
It's almost as bad as a mdma come-down when you get the bad anxiety.

I feel like the anxiety I get then, is the true nature of the anxiety I'm normally feeling.

I already know a bit of GHB actions on the brain (however it's actions aren't still really understood, are they?)

But I was thinking, if I could understand the mechanism of GHB, I could understand the mechanism of my anxiety and could possibly treat it better.

GHB acts via the GABA-B receptor and possibly another, mysterious, not-well-characterized "GHB receptor" that is not also a high-affinity GABA receptor. UTFSE for more info.

Yeah I notice baclofen (another GABA-B agonist) works great then phenubut can also - but tolerance goes through the roof with either. Feels like GHB without the euphoria i guess (me).
