Hey everyone! This is my first post on Bluelight, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

It has occurred to me that the vast majority of individuals these days just seem to have a very negative, apprehensive prejudice against drugs.

And some may ask, "Well what do you expect? Its drugs!". Well I can honestly say I don't truly expect anything, but what I can say is, I just wish that more people would look at the drug world with a more open mind.

Littered with criticism, negative articles put out by the media with intentions to warn people about the risks of drug use (man I sure love those over-exaggerated "above the influence" commercials!) the drug world has been all but completely shunned from the modern concept of what is acceptable.

Well, in the most basic explanation I can offer, what I have come to understand from my own personal experiences is that the problem with the vast majority of drug users is that they have a general lack of respect for whatever their drug of choice may be.

Here's an example for ya: Little Billy was disrespectful to his teacher, his teacher yelled at him. 10 years later: Not-So-Little Billy disrespected mdma (i.e. abused) and now he's addicted.

Yeah I know, not a very fancy example, but you get what I'm trying to say?

If one can establish a healthy relationship with whatever drug they try, know their limits, have responsibility, etc, things like drug problems aren't really as common, and one can reap a positive experience from it.

So, I'm all ears, discuss away!

Addicted to MDMA?

he/ she was just using it as a quick example and... just so you know, you can be psychologically addicted to mdma. So i don't know what you're talking about??

and to answer your question.. YES! I totally agree with everything you said. I totally feel the same way about how drugs are portrayed and stuff. Like, when I see people talk smack on drugs that they know nothing about it makes me disgusted by them...

If people only knew the amazingness that drugs have to offer. How life changing they really could be (Like all psychedelics and some stimulants and mdma). But stuff like heroin and coke, and meth, I've read almost no life changing experiences of them.. Only negative ones. But if you have self discipline than you can still have a regular life with just occasional drug use.

And yes... if only people could use in moderation, but people have no self control.

yeah i hear ye man. i know some real good ppl that use drugs but theyre not going to exemplified (sp?) because i guess it doesnt make a good story and they dont want to show that there r good users.

this is what i want to say, u cant ever generalize becuz u will always b wrong but in order to ever talk about a group of ppl u have to. so thats the fucking pickle were stuck in. but just b happy ur not one of those ppl that think the drugs r evil,i know i am.

also welcome to the forum. its here where true drug education can make a real difference and not leave unknowing users blind to the dangers of mood altering substances.

knowing psilocin however, was a relationship of fail and dysphoria.

I don't really understand this thread...

maybe its because i haven't had my bowl of waffle crisp this morning but it just doesn't make sense to me...

OP, what are you trying to ask here?

I think societys view of drugs is flawed from drug to drug. I think the way marijuana is portrayed in the media is jsut fucking ridicilous. But then again herion/meth/crack were always protrayed to me in a negative fashion. But it wasnt until i had my own opiate addiction and began to meet addicts and see the hard drug world that i truly grasped the horror of these drugs.

Certain drugs are beautiful and can change your outlook on the world. They can be used safely and be enjoyed if you are responsible. Other drugs not. This is how I see it.

"Billy" thinks he has a high respect for drugs, he has been using a long time and nothing bad has happened. He has only experinced postive changes in his life (lets say some THC, MDMA, and LSD). He thinks he respects drugs enough to try herion and not develop a problem. IMO if you respect herion and crack and meth you wont fucking try it. But to truly understand it and develop the respect you have to do it. Its like in "Get rich or die trying" The dealer is talking about crack and he says "you dont ever take the panties off this bitch cause she'll fuck you".
