Got meself 500ml again recently after quite a while without (other than what was kindly shared whilst visiting a coupla mighty fine BL chums). Am horribly skint at the moment so opted for "Chinese" version to save meself a tenner. Tis odd... It tastes just like those early bottles did - not like the weirdly "meaty" taste it seemed to develop in the months leading up to the ban. Thing is, required dose is significantly higher - 2.5-3ml for a good whack whereas the German (BASF I believe) stuff shared with those aforementioned BL chums fairly recently was putting me on my arse at just 1.5ml. Same label on the bottle and still labelled as being 99.99% pure and tastes more like GBL of yore than the German stuff does but definitely weaker even with a fairly lengthy tolerance break. Odd...
 
Is this common? Have others who've tried both noticed the same significant difference. Assuming only the price, potency and taste are the differences, which would you buy?
 
Seems a strange thing to say but i miss not having it around lately. Soo good with any stims, especially amphetamines...rushy rushy, naughty naughty!
 
a friend of mine has only had ghb a few times, while on e or other drugs. said he didn't feel much of anything. last night i gave him 1.5ml of gbl and he didn't feel it either, although i noticed him being more talkative.

another dose later, again nothing. later again i gave him 2ish ml and not much and then later another 2ml. the last dose he started to feel, got woozy and then sick :\ i was doing 1.5 for each, my normal dose. very strange.
 
^ I'd say it can be a learned high for some. Mrs Shambles used to puke her guts up for hours when she took it initially (she did love the effect between heaves though) but holds it down fine now and enjoys it even more. Have also known people who seem to get little or no desirable effects - just pass out if they have too much. Suspect there would be a "Golden Dose" for almost everyone (especially after a few goes at it to get a feel for it) but the difference between the euphoric dose and the KO dose can be tiny.

German BASF all the way. It's not only purer/stronger but also far more euphoric. It's well worth the extra tenner cos it goes a lot further and is just far more enjoyable. Saying that, I have had "Chinese" before and it's been much better than this particular batch so maybe it's just an especially crap one. German appears to be more reliable in terms of quality/purity and effects but have had batches that were fairly crappy too. It does seem to be superior in every way for the most part though.
 
Wish I had known that sooner, I thought they might both be the same stuff but one was sold under a different name for more $. Almost a shame a bottle lasts so long!
 
To be fair, they did seem to send me more than 500ml cos have got through well over 100ml since getting it and it's definitely not gone down by a fifth. The effects are not a patch on the last BASF stuff I sampled with aforementioned BL chums though :\
 
I'm gonna get another bottle in the new year. Thought I had the booze under control there but its starting to get out of hand again.
 
If you had GBL is it worth converting it to GHB if you've got a fair bit? Read somewhere it's less toxic? I'd only really be using it in low doses with stims, like the combo of stims & GBL much better than doing either on their own. But is GHB a better all rounder? Cheers.
 
I'd say it's definitely worth it, Codders. It lasts much longer and is far smoother. Even tastes vaguely palatable. Not everyone likes it cos it has way less kick than GBL though. Neither it nor GBL are toxic but if anything I'd say GHB would be somewhat more toxic due to the sheer volume of sodium you are ingesting - 3g+ per dose. If only using moderately I'd say it's neither here nor there though cos they aren't toxic at all.
 
Aye that sounds what I'm after. GBL adds a bit more rush and euphoria to stims but feels kinda rough and toxic to me. I only ever do 1-1.5ml GBL once every couple hours anyway seems to hit me harder than most people for some reason.
 
Yup, would definitely recommend converting some of your stash and trying it out in that case. For those with low tolerance/high effectiveness it would be ideal, I'd say. You don't get as "fucked up" but it really is way smoother and less straight up and down. Probably why some don't enjoy it - too gentle for many if they're used to moderate-heavy Guice use. Even though I use a lotta GBL I still really enjoy GHB though - we iz all different and all that. Sounds like you'd be the perfect candidate for GHB funtimes though :)

I find it very pleasant mixed in a tall drink and just supped at throughout however long you're using it. GBL is definitely one to drink as a shot, GHB is more like supping a beer. Bit like the difference between drinking neat spirits in large quantities and drinking a few quiet pints over a night.
 
I usually do it after a dose of speed with some cider. Mix the GBL in diluting juice or orange juice. Hate the taste of it though bleugh! Does GHB still add the euphoria to straight stims like GBL does then?

Sounds like some fun could be had with PV and GHB. Pity it's annoying to get hold of PV in the UK now, I wanted one last stim binge of tan PV and GHB before new year. But it'd cost me more than the PV's worth to get it here on time.
 
GHB is just very salty - tastes nothing like GBL at all. Actually tastes really rather nice with some mixers. For me, I'd say it's easily as euphoric but some would disagree as it's also less intense. The neat spirit vs pint o' beer analogy is the best way to think of it I can think of.
 
I'd say you can definitely taste the GBL in the conversion, but it's much much easier to handle.
Smoother is a word I'd use to describe GHB.

Had a stim session last night. Before going to bed I thought I would try and masturbate, but I couldn't come. So I had the idea that maybe my knock out GBL dose (4ml) might unstimulate me enough to finish. So I got ready for bed, so that once I had finished I could just quickly get to bed. I started doing my thing, but after 10 minutes still nothing, my head was getting really dizzy and then a few minutes more I just remember nothing, where I must have fallen asleep

I woke up an hour later feeling dizzy, nauseous and utterly confused. Penis still in hand and porn still up. I must have had my hands on the keyboard or something because there was another notepad file (first was my trip report) open filled with random characters and saved into my documents.
 
GBL not toxic? i thought it can damage your liver alot more than GHB? Seeing as the liver has to do the conversion all by itself to GHB

Nope. That's 1,4B. GBL is non-toxic and not converted by the liver, as far as I know.

Suspect I may hit a few w/d after this bottle cos it's a nightmare to dose properly. Defiitely way weaker than the German stuff but also much harder to find the sweet spot. Seems to go from very little effect to KO with barely any sweetness inbetween. There is a sweet spot but is a bitch to find and reliably repeat so have been KO'd far more often than I would like. Will find out soon enough, I suppose...
