Gabapentin withdrawal - is low libido normal?

I came off 900mg per day of gabapentin and at first it was easy, but now that I tapered (for a week), I am in pretty bad WD. I was on it for several years. I have severe insomnia, unless I take GHB, which is what I do not want to do, then I have anxiety - a lump in my throat, and very sweaty palms. U was recently placed on Clomiphene to increase my testosterone levels and it worked. My libido was sky-high until WD began. I am just curious whether its normal or not to have low sex drive during benzo or gabapentin withdrawal...

I think your taper was pretty quick. I really do believe that these wds can be reduced by a long slow taper. I'm doing that very thing right now and I did it earlier to get off a bad Phenibut habit. I plan on slowly tapering for months to give my brain time to adjust and rebuild if possible.

Yeah but I have been off of them for 5 days already. I once went back and took 300mg, but regretted it...

Did coming off phenibut mess with your libido?

Man, you guys are scaring me about these gabapentin withdrawals.
I have been on 600 mg 4 x daily for a month now, and I have been clean off everything else.
I do not want to experience withdrawals again, that's why I got clean, but now everyone seems to be having
horrible withdrawals from gabapentin and it's making me want to get off the shit. It helps my nerve palsy and anxiety though,
I'm not sure what to do.

Don't scare yourself. Everyone is different and some have minimal issues.

I feel for those who get bad gabapentin WD. The stuff was totally counter-productive for me, I took it as an anti-anxiety med but it was only when I quit that I realised it had actually increased my anxiety 10-fold. My experience of WD from 1200mg/day (supply got cut off suddenly) was relatively comfortable. I had a headache and a few aches, a few night's troubled sleep, but then it was all done. Hang in there - I personally of the belief that gabapentin and it's big sister pregabalin are not good for the brain.

I feel like the withdrawals would be tolerable with a taper. I have been through opiate withdrawal and benzo withdrawals so I'm hoping it's not as bad. I have heard it can be lengthy though .
