with more and more hype about abuse of otc drugs like dxm and to a lesser extent propylhexedrine, and perscription yet unscheduled drugs like somas, tramadol, seroquel, etc. do you think the dea will step in? i know they talked about making dxm a controlled substance, but the most that has happened is age restriction and such. what do you think will happen to these drugs in near or distant future?

Cannabis has been in the limelight for a long time and sadly the powers that be has dug their heals in ... cant see much hope for anything else, given the fact that many of them are at the opposite end of the spectrum to cannabis ....

eh i doubt dxm will be illegal, im thinking something along the lines of laws preventing the sale of cough syrup with dxm as the only active ingredient

but eventually most drugs become illegal only when the media blows up the issue, as we saw with mephedrone(?)

I wouldn't be suprised if DXM were gotten rid of altogether. I am suprised it is even available on shelves otc now. I don't see it being made prescription, though. I think it will either go behind the counter with restricted sale, or completely banned.
As for Soma, I doubt it will remain unscheduled for much longer. Again, I wouldn't be suprised if this drug were just pulled off the market altogether. We will see.

And what about the most popular phenetylamines like 2c-I, 2c-E, 2c-p ?

Or 4-AcO-DMT, DPT on the triptamine side ?

I have the feeling that their legal status is only one step away of going scheduled.. or am I wrong ?

Maybe I am... I really hope so...:(

Interested in hearing some BL´s opinions on this matter.
