Fun in Peru

Well folks Ive been off the boards a while. havent had internet in my house and a lot of local places block the site.

Im in the Amazon jungle now. I got plans for the week that involve psychedelic fun. Its already crazy enough here in Iquitos peru but hopefully I'll have some good stories to share.

Tomorrow is a 2c-e jungle walk in the evening and towards the weekend sometime I have an ayahuasca run planned. Should be quite interesting. I have a hookup to go with two Argentinians who I'm stayin with and they have a friend whos a shaman for 20 years. So it should be authentic, cheap, and eye opening. the guy owns like 40 hectares of land on the edge of town so I'm pretty hyped.

Apart from that its wet as a 10 year old girl at a Jonas Brothers concert, and its hot as balls.

Any suggestions on the ayahuasca experience though? Overall I feel very mentally comfortable and the people I'm going with seem cool. Theres not probably a lot in the way of tolerance to affect it. No problem with the 2C-E a couple days before right?
 
^Be prepared to feel incredibly sick. :) Its a healthy conclusion though....but ayahuasca is an utterly destroying substance; unlike pretty much any psychedelic I've taken. If you are prepared to let the purge simply happen (and be prepared as its not just vomiting, but incredible rectal explosions...:\) so you might want somewhere you can do it without worrying about that.

2c-e a few days before will cause some tolerance, but you probably won't notice....

trippin in the amazon is something I plan to adventure into next year. I can't wait to hear more about this!
 
Hello - Have a brilliant time in Peru. I spent last November there including a week in Iquitos where I was put in touch with a splendid Shaman by the name of Ernesto. He was very welcoming and the environment very comfortable. If you are in those parts you couldn't go to far wrong looking him out. He was serious and not a showman for the tourist, as many of the connections there seem to be.
And a trip to Belen market should not be missed. All your shamanistic supplies available amid buzzing cramped streets. Watch your valuables and take a guide if possible.
A beautiful welcoming country of incredible contrast. I'm jealous of you.

This sounds amazing! I would love to read a trip report on your experiences. There isnt really a surplus of trip reports taken from amazonian yage encounters.

Welsh the coca is better in Lima believe it or not. Its just cheaper and better quality and I play with it bi-weekly.

As far as the 2c-e trip, it was fantastic. I enjoyed fishing for piranhas, holding a tarantula, and conversing in spanish with my guide about a number of jungley topics all the while being in a canopy lodge for the evening sippin on beer.

Tonight is the ayahuasca.

And yes I just went to the belen market which was insane. Scored 100 grams of San Pedro dried up and powdered for a mere $x. I've been looking for it for a while which turned out to be perfect. I'll be doing an alcohol extraction when I get back to Lima.

Damn that sounds awesome. I really wanna go to South America at some point. Do you live there full time or are you just on an extended stay?
 
I live here now. In fact I have my foreign resident card now so I'm legal and everything. I teach english and live close to work. its pretty awesome..

so yeah an open invitation to BL anybody looking for some fun can hit me up down here.
 
Haha yeah thats how it is here. The guy had a kilo for $xx if I wanted....

Stuff so nicely powdered, complete with label on bag too. Very professional. I love peru :)

thats awesome. I like south america, looks like a fun place honestly. Spain looks liek the most fun spanish-speaking/latin country IMO. But if i went down south, id go to peru, chile or argentina.
 
Chiles a mess after the quakes and I hear argentinas a cool spot. But Peru is where it is at. your money will go a lot farther too, unlike spain.

Of course if anybody ever has questions Im here to answer!
 
my sis went to Peru and it changed her life, although she was only 15 and hadn't lived in a real country before so it was a massive eye-opener

want to go someday, although I'd have to get used to fuck off spiders :)
 
oh lawdy nice save on that one brah. one or the other, maybe? not srue if 2c-e will interact..i thought thats only amphetamines/sub amps/dxm
