Just an informal survey... does anyone notice that their sleep gets weird or that they have more energy as the moon becomes full in the sky?

I always seem to wake up in the middle of the night around full moon time, and no it's not psychosomatic because there are times when I'm not even aware of what point in the cycle the moon is at.

A few full moons ago, the one dubbed "supermoon" I didnt sleep all night. Was completely sober, maybe just stoned a little and still could NOT SLEEP. I was not tired after staying up all night and only had a couple hours of sleep the next few days. It was like this crazy limitless energy and euphoria. I can only attribute it to that moon :)

Quite a common phenomenon it seems. My father once told me about a friend of his that would always suffer extreme headaches at the full moon. Can't remember the name he gave the condition, but he was absolute that it was true and not a coincidence.

I get hyperactive and impulsive round full moon, and I get a strong need to interact (forcefully if necessary) with people, just good looking males I think lol.
I just figured that because I'm a women it probably has something to do with my hormone cycle thing, you know the one that fits in 28 days just like the lunar cycle.
No idea why guys might act crazed at a full moon *shrug*

Libs ^ full moons are the best time for fucking according to Ayurveda, and ancient celt traditions...I have yet to find out for sure wanna help? ;)

Foreigner - Yeah dude - because we are >60% water, our emotions and the rhythm of our bodies work like the ebb and flow, in line with the wax and wane of the moon.

I usually don't drink more than one drink or do any drugs on full moons anymore, specifically.

The full moon is quite bright, obviously, and disturbs some people's sleep. It's just like some people finding it difficult to sleep with the light on.
Of course, this leads to sleep deprivation, and the origin and etymology of the word "lunatic" is so-derived - from people who are deprived of sleep due to the light of the moon keeping them awake. This is well documented, historically.

Anyone who has cared to look into the gravitational changes during the lunar cycle - rather than guess about them - will know that the change is infinitesimally small upon the whole planet (and is even less upon a whole human); whereas the change in the light reflected from the moon is, of course, very large indeed - and light is known to affect people's ability to sleep dramatically.
