From Chitown to Norcal

I'm talkin really far norcal/ almost oregon norcal.

I'm making the journey from the chi to norcal ... for... ding ding ding... a MMJ research vacation!!!!

possibly moving there after I graduate ....

anyway, this summer I am leaving June 1st and am living near humboldt for 2 months.

Just seein if any bluelighters had any experience in the red woods and what to expect from "white america" being from a usually diverse culture....

and how the culture in norcal really is... I'm scared, I have enough money, but I don't know anyone, and understand it'll get lonely... closest spot i know someone is the bay area and thats like 300 miles away..>

People are really friendly if you try and connect (be polite, treat them as equals). You will run into some "back woods" type people, along with some old hippies depending on where in Humboldt you are. Be prepared to be under suspicion if you go to any of the smaller towns. They won't know who you are, so they'll be cautious.

Best chance of having a good time: Go to Arcata. The University is there.

That is good advice, there. I lived 4 years in arcata and eureka, until last year. I might be going back to see my friends soon <snip>
