First time heroin questions

Ok, I plan on doing heroin I.V. for the first time in the near future. I thought about snorting it but I just want to get the full effects and leave it alone for the rest of my life. Been curious about it ever since I was a kid (One of those "Do everything once" kind of people) Before I do it I'm going to stock up on assortment of drugs, including methadone, benzos, Mj, a few opiates and sleeping pills so I can handle the w/d after. I have a few questions though.

1. Is trying heroin going to destroy my view on all other drugs? Will every other drug I try, will I be saying "yeah, but it's not heroin"

2. If I do psychedelics during w/d, will the w/d still be there when tripping and maybe set off a bad trip?

I know people are probably laughing at me worrying about w/d so much. Btw, I'm only going to do those other drugs when the cravings start, if that even happens. I also tried to get Ibogaine, but that is one tricky drug to find. If I put it in the wrong section, please move it. I have also never done a "hard" drug or anything I.V. before Thanks!

i think this is not a good idea... heroin is incredibly addicting, and what makes it probably most poisoning, is cheap to get a hit, dealer will sell commonly $10 bags

and yea with heroin so easily available and most likely better than other drugs, most things you take probably won't just be same, with exceptions of shit like LSD, shrooms, salvia, etc...

but i doubt you'd be interested in that shit

i'm sure some people try heroin and turn out fine, but it's not the type of drug to guess with

if you're going to try it, just go into it with the mindstate of an addiction, that should make a decisiion easier

rather be safe than sorry
 
If you have no prior experience with opiates then I advise you to not do heroin just yet. Or not do it at all. If you really want to then nobody can stop you. It's not going change your view on all other drugs.
Heroin is not special. its just another relatively strong opiate. It's damn good but you wont get hooked after just one time or even a couple of days of use. So forget about the methadone, that stuff is even worse than heroin.

Also dont expect your first time to be great, usually opiate naive users become nauseous the first few times, and if the dose is to high it can become less euphoric.
 
Your not going to go through withdrawls if you shoot heroin only once. You'll feel completely normal the next day pretty much. Just maybe a little groggy. There's no need to take those benzo's and methadone right after. You need to use everyday for a few weeks to catch a habit.

Save those for the coming weeks ;)

Be safe and shoot a small dose , you wouldn't want to OD
 
Thanks, but I do have opiate experience. I have kicked a habbit of snorting roxies in the past, and I adore methadone, but not an addict. Since I have had a small habit of roxies, could that start a habit of a similiar drug?
 
Yes it could very easily. Infact since you've had an addiction to Oxycodone, then you're so so so much more likely to let Heroin take over your life.
Like someone said above, nobody can stop you doing it if you really want to, but I really do beg that you don't get into this. It could ruin your life all too easily.
Again, I really want to stress that this is not a good idea in the slightest and things could go horribly wrong.
Another thing, I would suggest snorting it or smoking it or a bit of both, because you can never know how strong the stuff is and how you're going to react to it. We don't want you ODing.

Just take it easy, stay safe and take care.
 
I don't think heroin used once or twice is likely to dramatically alter your opinion of other drugs, maybe other opiates to an extent. If you do only use once you wont get withdrawals or anything.

I am not going to respond like most others in this thread, there is no reason why you should not try heroin if you have made the decision that its what you want to do AND you take all the neccessary precautions involved to do it as safely as possible.

Make sure you have proper injection technique down pat and that you obtain all the neccessary equipment, needle, 1ml syringe, filters, distilled water, alcohol swabs etc. and make sure that you do it as cleanly as possible, sterilize as much as possible etc. Also start small and titrate your dose carefully to avoid OD. I think it would be safer if you bought a few doses and tried snorting it to find your sweet spot, then waiting a week or two to do the IVing, carefully calculating your relative IV dose based on the bioavailability of IV compared to snorting.

I smoked heroin once a few years ago because it was free and I was underwhelmed, I have been curious to try it again without a limit on my dose and using snorting as my method of administration for probably close to a year but it is expensive where I live and I haven't got around to it. I am sure I will one day go and do it again but the point is, I use a wide variety of drugs, I have spent thousands of dollars on drugs between then and now and tried several new drugs I hadn't before. I am still able to enjoy a wide variety of drugs and have never thought "this isn't heroin so its just crap really" or had any overwhelming desire to go and do heroin again.

I say do it, but do it as safely as possible and have fun ;).
 
you won't get addicted from doing heroin once.. getting methadone just increases the risk of getting addicted and getting withdrawls... and taking benzos with H is very dangerous especially if you have a low tolerance...

also do you know how to shoot? make sure you get it right.. there are guides on the net...
 
ANY DRUG during WDs SUCK!!! especially alcohol, and i find benzos to make me get moore anxiety which makes no sense, but WDs, u either smoke stoges and/or blaze
 
Hmmm, never seen the incentive of trying heroin, sounds messed up to me...

But if your REALLY keen on taking it, do tons and tons of research to minimize the risk as much as possible.
 
im an ex-heroin addict of 10 years , Iam still on Methadone 130mls daily but been clean for 4 years but getting of methadone is harder...

i was like you TRY IT ONCE-

DONT DO IT..... you will think (if you can even get decent gear these days which you cant) ooh this is good, i will be ok doing it one more time - if it doesnt happen straight away it will eventually...

take my advice - dont do it

I also caught Hepatitis-C and Hepatitis-B for which Iam recieving treatment that is like chemo and last 12 months

Opiates are pretty much the same. Doing heroin is almost exactly the same as doing oxycodone. Drug dealers sometimes sell powder mixed with fentanyl and call it heroin, and addicts usually can't even tell.

It almost sounded like you were trolling when you said you were going to get around withdrawals from one dose of heroin by doing methadone and other opiates. That idea is just ridiculous.

And no, psychedelics don't cure opiate withdrawals.
 
BRITLOFLEX (lofexidine) is used in opiate wthdrawals - IMO they dont work and are more placebo than anything else - I used them throughout withdrawal from Heroin and they didnt alleviate any sort of pain/withdrawal.....

So did you do it or what?I wanna know =P.....You should be fine though,if you wanna do Heroin go for it,you're an adult...just dont make a habit of it(pun intended).

I dont know what you expected us to tell you besides dont do it,this is a harm reduction page after all...But yeah you probably will want to do it again,heck you probably already have...and you really wont need the benzo's and other opiates,just save them for a rainy day...

I'm worried you might fall back into addiction(not trying to lecture).
I was recently kicked off of Methadone for not following clinic rules,I went a few days with codeine,then got some Oxy's after 120 mg's of Oxy and feeling that high again makes me want to continue using,But I know I cant.

I'd just hate to see you back in here asking if you can shoot bupe or methadone.I'm not trying to be a dick or anything,I'm just saying I really hope you just chip and dont end up going out of control.I do truly care about other Bluelighters and hope they stay healthy and safe.
 
If it's really what you wanna do I'd say do it. I just recently kicked a heroin problem, and to tell the truth the w/d wasn't bad at all. I was doing it for about 2 months straight, all IV and the only w/d I got was a little trouble gettin to sleep for a couple nights without it, and a slight cough for a couple days. Other than that it was no problem, my only advice is get it from someone you can trust so that hopefully, they can tell you how "pure" your stuff is and give you a better idea of your dosage. And as everyone else here has stated, research on how to IV and make sure you sterilize and do it all safely. I've had an abscess before, it's unpleasant and hard to hide. Just be careful, and let us know how everything turns out.

i have always classified heroin as the faliure dirty drug .
especially if your shooting it . You have sunk to a new low .

Many people also start by saying they will take one hit only , but end up becoming addicted because of the AMAZING undescribable feeling you get .

But hey its up to you .
I suggest you stick with better drugs like LSD , E , Shrooms and weed
 
basically dont do it if you dont have to .


WHy not try LSD ? it has many benefits and opens up your mind
 
Nah, I would say stay away from psychs. I prefer opiates over psychedelics anyday. I'd say go for it. I never got the euphoria from shrooms, LSD, LSA, etc. that I do from opiates..

opiates > psychs
