Opioids First time Dilaudid

Wife and I are about to get a few tablets of Dilaudid.

My question is in regards to administration. Whats the recommended route? Other than IV.

I had figured us snorting half of one each then we both eat one. But after a little research I see that oral administration is a bit... wasteful?

She has an opiate tolerance, having been taking a verity of opioids for a while now, where as I have zero tolerance. I expect this is something I need to take with a little bit of caution.

Yes! Once you take it, you can't take it back so take it slow. You two are definitely going to require different amounts to get high (I assume that's what you're going for). Please be careful, that's some serious stuff!

Administer anally with an oral syringe and a couple CC's of warm water. Snorting Dilaudid isn't really much more effective than taking it orally in my experience, but if you have zero tolerance it just might. If plugging ain't your thing and you'd rather snort it though, also snort a few drops of water either before or after to help it absorb better... And I stress a few, cause you don't want it to just glob down your throat before it has a chance to do its thing.

IV is really the most effective ROA with hydromorphone, but I'm not about to suggest that to anyone...
