Alright, so here's the issue. I have terrible social anxiety, when I'm with good friends I'm all pleasant and what not, but when im meeting new people i just freeze up, sometimes even after knowing them for months. It's so bad I've dropped out of school and havnt found a job that I'm not scared shitless of working at. Any job suggestions for a teenager whos only finished grade 9 and doesn't go to school?

1. meet more people. become more confident. ive gone from social outcast to life of the party and youd be surprised at how ez it is
2. get a ged?
3. trade school (no idea if u need a ged for this =P)

thats just what i'd do tho

I also second the getting a GED. Especially if you are in the US (I don't know much about other countries, sorry) it will be very hard to get employment without it --- even to be a janitor in the NYC school systems, you must have a H.S. diploma/GED.

Get a GED.

As scary as it sounds... get a RETAIL job. You won't like it at first (I didn't), but it will force you to become comfortable dealing with strangers/being around people all day. Seriously. You might feel overwhelmed at first, but working retail will force you to interact with people, and help your SA.

Defiantly. I worked in various places and I loved retail because I got to talk to people all the time.

See what the Myers Briggs test brings up.
Only found out about it a while ago on here and surprise I'm already doing the job it suggested to me.

You say youre a teenager. How old are you? I believe you need to be 16 to start work most places. I started work at 15, but I got some weird special work permit to do it and could only do it for a few hours a week.

Definitely get a GED as everyone else said.

Do you have a car? Pizza delivery is a decent job, makes you lots of money. Retail is another option although I always found those sort of jobs painfully boring. If you want a nice "loner" job that usually pays decent you could do what I do for my day job-stock groceries. I work at a little store, not a big chain, lots of hippy types work there and everyone is really nice, but overall you are stocking shelves in your own area and sort of in your own world all day. I don't exactly have social anxiety but I am not very social person and don't really like jobs where I have to talk to people a lot so it works for me.

It just depends if you want to try and force yourself to get over your social anxiety or cater to it. There is nothing wrong with being naturally introverted, but it's another thing if it cripples you entirely.
