I had a period of about 6 mo where I was using codeine on a daily basis. > 1000mg. I finally was able to take a week to cut down and then get things lined up to quit. I cut it down to about 500mg a day then got enough lyrica to make it through the first couple days. seroquel for sleep and I have enough of my clonazepam prescription to be able to take an extra one or two if I have a tough day or tough night. I really cant afford it and I was depressed constantly. It was either get a product that also has caffiene and not sleep or get the one that has doxylamine and pay 3x the price.

I know codeine is pretty light in terms of withdrawls, I've gotten a little taste of hydromorphone and oxy withrdrawl and this was nothing. But this is the last drug I have to get off of to be clean. completely. It's a pretty big milestone for me I thought I would share :p. Well, I'm tapering off of my clonazepam prescription that may really be the last thing. slowly making progress.

That's fantastic, danyo. What kind of strategies did/do you use for cravings? It's always nice when people post what worked for them, what kind of support they had etc. You never know, it could help someone else take the first step.
