Can anyone recommend any decent zombie flicks that I may not have seen before?

I'm a big fan of the origonal 'dead' trilogy.
Ive seen the remake of the origonal NotD and Dawn of the dead,
28 days later,
Return of the living dead 2 (has anyone actually seen #1?)

Anything else?

Evil Dead 1,2,3 (extended windmill rocks along with the dark ending). I saw Return of the Living Dead 1 - very funny actually but no classic. Dawn of the Dead ? - a classic. But my favourite ? The Fog - a zombie movie (cries of "oh yeah I suppose it is") with atmopshere.

I saw Evil Dead 1 and to be honest I shunned the rest of them based on that because I couldnt even finishing watching it, I thought it was so bad. I will check out the others though. I didnt see #1 as being a zombie flick so I presumed the others weren't either.

I'm going to be watching 'return of the living dead 3' tonight which is apparently less of a comedy than #2!

I've seen the Fog many times before, great film! I'll also check out Spiderman.

Has anyone seen a film based in australia called 'the undead' ? Its not too old I believe, only going back a few years!

DEAD ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Peter Jackson's DEAD ALIVE, the ultimate zombie flick!! Featuring zombies that can only be killed via puree' (resulting on lots of flying green zombie goo), 2 zombies making out & simultaneously eating eachohters faces, zombie fucking which results in a zombie baby & loads of shocks & pitch black humor that makes John Waters look like Woody Allen!

On a more serious side there is also Lucio Fulci's chunk blower ZOMBIE (1981). This was a Times Sq grindhouse staple when I was a kid & features a zombie attacking & killing a shark, a zombie thrusting its hand through the back of a guys head & poking out his eyeballs & a final shot of zombies walking across the Willimasburg Bridge into Manhattan...then again if you've ever had to deal with the moronic trendy yuppie assholes that have infected Williamsburg over the past few years (the type of pseudo bohemian dweebs who read VICE, wear trucker caps & listened to electroclash for about 5 minutes) this scene could be seen as prophetic. It has the great tag line: "We are coming...to EAT YOU!!"

"28 days later" was really good, but "dawn of the dead" was much, much better.

and of course there's the classic "night of the living dead" which was really well done for that time.

I have that movie, but I have never actually watched it. I know it took my parents quite some time to find it... they had to order it, because it could not be found in stores LoL.Maybe I will give it a try :\

the first return of the living dead is pure camp 80's fun and it has this hot b movie scream queen naked and dancing ontop a grave;) you should check it out and you'll see why the second one is kinda the same movie

I enjoyed 28 days later, but it was more of a critique on human nature and instinct rather than a zombie movie.

Resident Evil
Dawn of the dead(not the remake, they left out the zombie getting the top of his head chopped off by a helicopter blade :( )

cydonorb, NICE, you picked the two movies I was going to mention. Dead Alive is definitely a classic - who would have ever thought one could get such a use for a lawn mower??

And Zombie...I actually just saw a screening for this in a theater in NY last week....the "eye" scene gets me every time....

and of course, those previously mentioned Dawn of the Dead, Evil Dead trilogy

Anything BUT Zombie's vs. Vampires... I was expecting a totally campy and gorey film, but no, not at all. For some reason all the Vampires were female and randomly would just stop what they were doing to screw. The plot made NO sense at all. Avoid this one like the plague (unless you want to see Lesbian Vampires).

As for GOOD zombie flicks, I'm pretty partial to all the Evil Deads, 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, and Night of the Living Dead.

hahaha! I saw Zombies VS Vampires too and it was basically a band horror porno.

anyways, the best movie with zombies in it hands down is the original Dawn of the Dead. you just can't fuck with that.

Braindead is probably one of the best zombie movies ever.

And Dellamorte Dellamore (or Cemetery Man) is also fucking awesome.
