film: Street Kings

I just saw this on a series of tubes and it was A LOT better than what I thought it would be.
I can tolerate Keanu from time to time, so I kinda put up with him for the whole movie (he's still plays himself though). Forest Whitaker was really slimey and a great actor, his performance is almost worth seeing the flick for. Hugh Laurie/House was interesting as well. There's a ton of cameos, too.

If you like cop flicks its not a bad way to go.

haven't seen it, but it sounds like a 'training day' rip-off, would u say its similar in more ways than not ?

Agree with OP. Much better than I thought and better in some ways than Training Day. KR did a good job...surprised me.

Never saw Training Day so no idea as to the comparison. Incidentally the writer for Training Day and the director for Street Kings is the same: David Ayer. So prob there is a comparison somewhere in there. :D

very much training day but for keanu reeves. bleh. and i don't even like training day, yet it was much better than this shit.

funnily, i saw an ad for the video game before this movie and i thought, "damn, that vid game character looks just like keanu reeves"

I have seen Training Day Tonnes of times and didnt even think of it once as I watched this. But, I can see the similarity now.

Just released on DVD in Australia this week. I always look at the cast when I am picking out one to watch, and this movie had a great cast.

From halfway through I was I could see twists being thrown in and it began to get really intriguing. I like cop movies
