this casino-hitman-mafia movie is set, primarily, in south lake tahoe! standouts were jeremy piven's coked-out, washed-out, failed magician. also, alicia keys is smokin' hot. it was pretty good but i came away feeling that the whole was less than the sum of the parts.

That's kinda understandable...

I saw this a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Heaps of action and different things happening at the same time. It's pretty much impossible to be bored in this movie (well unless you really don't like action, blood and guts, and it kinda makes you hurl a lot, and you get bored of continually hurling your guts up, which would be understandable, but hey...)

Great cast, and it just keeps on going.

Just watched this movie today and I can't decide wether I liked it or not. It's very far-fetched in many ways, which is fine but then it tries to get very serious in the last 20 minutes.
It was almost like pro-wrestling in that all the killers had their little over-the-top gimmicks. This one's a master in disguise, this one's crazy, these guys always have heavy metal blasting...
Dispite my gripes, it did keep me interested until the end.

I quite enjoyed the movie. Over the top nonsense, but enjoyable all the same.

Great line from one of the big black bodyguards to a hooker after waking up from a debauched night in a penthouse suite:

"Damnit! I didn't realize how fucked up I was till I just saw your ass, girl. You went from Beyonce to Bigfoot in less than 6 fucking hours!"

why do all of you put it to chance that a movie MIGHT be good and go spend money on it?
better idea? download it first, and if it's good, then seeing it in the theater is worth the money.

this movie....was alright. if you were there for just action then great.
my favorite characters were the 3 brothers that just busted into there with chainsaws and whatnot.
f'ing metal to the core.

Good mindless fun. Pure and simple. The crime boss plot was not only a stretch, it was a predictable stretch. I called the "twist" ending almost as soon as they laid the foundation...

How obvious can you make it? The FBI agent goes through great lengths to go undercover, even utilizing brand new "plastic surgery"... then with great exposition, reveal that the mob boss has undergone dozens of elective plastic surgeries. Although the heart transplant bit and the stuff about the Feds killing their own man was really stretching.

Bonus points for the 10 year old ADHD trailer park kung-fu wigger.

Was definitely an entertaining movie, I just don't know how well I actually genuinely liked it. But good to entertain yourself.
