If you don't fear Death because in a story once you learned that she was a really sweet and pretty girl and if she looked you in the eyes and told you she was going to take you away, you'd be so happy to go with her.

I saw bits of this last night and I really want to a)sit down and watch the whole thing without interruption because it looks like an interesting film, and b)sit down and watch the whole thing without interruption while tripping because the last movie I saw with such awesomely trippy visuals was The Cell.
 
You're right - this movie is amazing. Very few people (that I know of) have even heard of it, let alone watched it. It's based on a book by Neil Gaiman I believe.

Everyone should see it.

anybody seen it? what do you think? i think it was a little light on story but the visuals are fantastic,this movie was playing at a rolling party i went to last month and ppl were just in love with it.
 
man, i heard the hype but was so dissappointed with this movie i stopped watching half way through...
its probably awesome if you are a 7 year old though.

Care to elaborate? I personally thought the story got slow in several spots but the visual aspect kept me interested the whole time. I think if you're going to make a sarcastic comment like that you should back it up.8)

Some parts of this film were fantastic, but yeah, I think it really got bogged down in parts. I don't feel it really pulled of any of the deeper meanings but the action scenes were pretty good.

Probably wouldn't watch it again, but it would be a good film to have on in the background at parties.

I pretty much agree. I think what it lacked in story, it definitely made up for in interesting visual 'stimulation'. By that I mean that when I was getting bored with the story I still couldn't bring myself to look away from the screen. In that respect I think they did a great job. If only the story was as engaging as the graphic side.

The thing that bugged me most is that it's partially (there was another man that collaborated on it I believe) Neil Gaiman's story - he's a fantastic writer IMO, much more engaging than this movie was.
 
What a trippy film. I would agree that it's pretty light on the story, but it has amazing visuals. It was a bit difficult to sit through two hours just for cool visuals. I probably wouldn't watch it again unless I were tripping.
 
I love Dave mc Kean....but after 30 minutes this movie was sucking so hard I fell asleep :p BORING and with horribly flat visual effects. Ick.
