film: Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus

I think that, just as Snakes on a Plane, it'll be worth seeing just for the absurdly ridiculous title. By the way Snakes on a Plane is an awesome movie.

Exactly how could you not want to see a movie with such a literal title. They're not throwing any punches you know what you get when you sit down in that theater or your computer chair after you illegally download it.
 
That's right. All the creators are saying is: "Look, we here do not have the presumption of making the next Bergman's movie or even winning any Oscar. We're only going to do a kickass, action-packed awesome film." That's exactly what was Snakes on a Plane, a funny summer blockbuster that made fun of itself and delivered a pleasurable time.

Mega Shark VS Giant Octopus... wait I'm starting to get excited myself by this title.

Edit: Ha, now that I look at your avatar I understand why Bergman came to my mind for my example.

exactly thats what I think is wrong with a lot of action films today they take them selves way to seriously. I think the last few great action movies were both Cranks and Shoot em' Up. Because they weren't trying to make a serious piece of cinema with action sequences thrown in. It does work to though films like Casino Royal and the Bourne series come to mind but smart action movies are few and far between and lets face it most people writing and directing action films aren't exactly auteurs.

And also isn't there something fun about just saying Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus out loud.

i might even waste $8.50 on cheap tuesday at the cinemas when this comes out just too see it on the big screen
