Film: Kill Bill

Yay!

Tommorow Kill Bill comes out in the States. I'm seeing it tommorow night. Really, all i want is the good dialogue that I've come to expect from Tarantino's movies.

Anyone else excited?

Hell yes! It should, should be a great movie.

And there are women weilding katanas.... *DROOL*

I'm really excited! I got my free popcorn voucher and my free refill cup at the ready :D gotta wait 8 more days yet before it comes out over here tho :(

i saw a preview of this movie in the theater. if my seat hadn't been bolted down, i probably would have attempted to throw it through the screen.

Tomatometer

After 78 reviews, Rotten Tomatoes "tomatometer" is running 81%.

While I do not hold to any particular reviewers accuracy, I'm finding that the tomatometer is one of the most accurate measurements available. If a move is over 80 on the meter, I very seldom disagree.

Basically they take reviews from every one, and assign a simple fresh/rotten tomato to it. Then they average out the tomatos for a percentage.

For instance, Gigli got 7%. Unfortunately due to a poor date decision, I can tell you that's about right. Grave of the Fireflies got 91% - very accurate.

And Once Upon A Time in Mexico got 73%, which is just right. I liked it, but it wasn't wonderful.

As for this movie, it's bound to split audiences just like all of Tarantinos movies do. When I saw Pulp Fiction with two friends, they both came out saying "What the hell was that?" and I said, "It starts again in 10 minues. We can make it."

Let me be the first to tell you that you will be saying that same thing when you see this one. My fuckin' god what a sweet movie.

************MINOR SPOILERS****************

I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
I went in thinkin that the ending was going to suck because of vol 2 coming out in feb. However the line right before it ended was the perfect cliffhanger. This is the one movie this year that I have seen and enjoyed every part start to finish. The scene with Lucy at the table with all the gang family "heads" made my jaw drop. I did not think she could pull off lines like that.

I now want a ninja sword

bastard tarintino - i already wanted to see volume 2. that last line made me want to see it NOW NOW NOW. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

:D
:D
:D

i love old school kung fu movies. kill bill has satisfied my thirst for a GOOD american kung fu movie. all the usual kung fu themes were there (honor/respect etc). i think i'll be watching it in the theater a few more times, which is something i never do.

i was hoping for more great dialogue, but i was still happy with everything i got.

Yes, excellent. It's no Pulp Fiction, but Kill Bill is certinly not "retarded". I honestly don't understand where those opinion are comming from. The direction and camerawork was excellent.

Funny on my way out of the movie I was trying to decide if I enjoyed pulp fiction nearly as much as I did Kill Bill. Don't get me wrong pulp fiction is a amazing flick but it did not have me on the edge of my seat with complete interest in all characters as I did with Kill bill.

Anyone else see the flick?

Giovanni

I loved it.. It surpassed any expectations that I had. I agree with atlas.. the direction and camerawork was amazing!! I can't wait for Vol. 2 :)

Just reading all these comments make me even more excited than i already was.

i saw it last night

coolest. movie. ever.

or at least of the year.

and if the 2nd part rocks too, tarantinos best flick imo.

:p

I went into the theater with high hopes, only to find out that they weren't nearly high enough. I'm so in love with this movie right now.
