FILM: Control

"Ray Liotta stars in this gripping thriller as Lee Ray, a sociopathic killer serving time on death row. He is secretly given a rare second chance when the brilliant Dr. Miles Copeland (Willem Dafoe) offers to use him as a test subject for a new drug designed to squelch violent proclivities. Lee agrees, and they go through the motions of lethal injection, and the former criminal assumes a new life with a new identity. Soon, however, things start to go horribly awry; will the killer instinct prove too great to overcome?"

Starring: Ray Liotta, Kathleen Robertson, Michelle Rodriguez, Willem Dafoe, Stephen Rea
Directed by Jonathan Baker & Tim Hunter

Just got done watching the movie (just released on DVD/VHS) and I was surprised that I actually liked the movie. I thought for sure it was just going to be another wasted 2 hours, but for a movie I never heard of prier to renting, it was decent. The acting in the movie is surprising well. Although the best part of the movie is the first 30-45 minutes as you watch Lee Ray struggle and fight with the new experimental drug they give him. Towards the end of the movie though it does lose its edgy story line as the story shifts in the direction of Lee Ray feeling guilty for the actions that got him on death row, and his new love interest. I think over all this is a good movie, and worth the $3 to rent.

I wish there was more info I could find online about this movie, but being that the movie is not well known, i cant find to many sites mentioning it.
