Has anyone seen this yet? It's about three people following Leslie Vernon,a man setting the stage to become a legendary serial killer, with cameras, shooting a documentary on him. He wants to follow in the footsteps of Jason,Freddy and Micheal. The film treats it as though Jason and company are real killers. The movie itself is funny as hell and very clever. And it has has a pretty nice twist at the end. It's not a perfect movie by any means, but the guy playing Leslie Vernon,Nathan Baesel, steals this movie. He's like Jim Carrey and Ryan Reynolds rolled into one, minus Carrey's spastic ADD.

I enjoyed the mockumentary portion of the movie, but when it switched gears in the third act I think it lost a lot of steam. The movie itself, while entertaining, becomes lost in it's own humor in a rather unappealing way.

I think it would have been much better if they didn't have the whole facade of Freddy, Jason et all being "real". Here is a kid who has seen one too many slasher movies and is now living out the movies, but then you would have had a movie like "Scream" (which, imho, did a much better job of lampooning and satirizing the slasher genre).
