Fighting Drowsiness

I love starting off a Saturday morning with a nice big spliff, but within half an hour I start to feel incredibly drowsy and by the afternoon I'm already super burnt out.

I know Indica strains are more likely to cause drowsiness, but I can't really seem to find anything else. What are some of the best ways to fight feeling drowsy after smoking pot?

PS: Caffeine doesn't seem to agree with me...it makes me jittery and anxious.

I mean, it's a trade off. You smoke weed in the morning, unless you get a different strain (or do it every day like me and build up a tolerance to the effects and more control over them) you're gonna be drowsy. It's one of the effects. It's like taking coke and saying, i'm all speedy... wtf did you expect to happen?

If caffeine doesn't agree with you, i'm guessing small amounts of coke or adderall probably will affect you the same. (I don't take much caffeine or coke for the same jittery reasons).

Maybe if you increase your daily activity level (more exercise), you'll naturally have more energy for when you blaze??

Perhaps you could smoke less in the morning and save more for later on in the day?

Yes amphetamine such as adderall would help, but would the side effects of that really be worth it?

DiscoS' suggestion to increase your exercise is a good one, that could help :)

Since I don't usually have any spare coke lying around, I figured maybe going on a bit of a walk in the morning WHILE smoking pot would help fight the drowsiness?

yeh that would work. make a full day of it
get your energy levels up. walk 2 to 4 hours a day like me:)

ya without taking any other drugs i think some simple exercise or a short mid-day nap like cocacrazy said would definitely help
